behind UA and UF and all those were since Saban arrived there. They didn’t win a title in the 90’s

In the 80’s Auburn won more than any other team. LSU won 1 and shared 1 with Auburn

The 70’s were dominated by Alabama but LSU did win the SEC in 1970, according to Wikipedia

So since the SEC was integrated and until Nick Saban’s arrival there LSU won 2 titles and shared 1. So 30 years.

I just don’t understand why so many LSU fans act like they are traditionally the only contender with Alabama

They don’t just hand out last place rankings for nothing, Louisiana has earned their spot as the dumbest state in the union.

LSU is tied for the second most national championships since 1992... Not really sure what your point is here.

So, in the last 1.5 to 2 generations of people, LSU is arguably the second most successful football program in the country.

You really got us there.

Bama didn’t win a title in the 90’s

You sure about that?

Who thinks LSU is traditionally the only contender with Bama? If you want to define the last decade plus as tradition then so be it.

How many of those years in your signature are "claimed" years

LSU fans suck at research, Alabama won 2 (92, 99)

In fact Alabama is the only SEC school to win an SEC title every decade since the SEC was founded.

That is not the point. Alabama is humble and does not "claim" as you put it, all the titles it can.

You do realize that all of Alabama's NC winning teams, every single one played in a bowl.

And how many titles do Bama fans claim in seasons in which the Tide LOST its bowl game?

Two, however quite a few teams claim NC when they did not even go to a bowl that year.

OU for example, no bowls for their NC in 56 and 74, and lost to Kentucky in 1950 bowl

Ohio State lost the Rose Bowl in 70.

Michigan State lost the 1965 Rose Bowl and was co-champs with Alabama in 1965

However after 1975, every National Title winning team played in a bowl and won it.

Lookie here Boudreaux. How old are you? Alabama doesn’t “claim,” the AP and UPI “awarded.”

Do you not understand that until 1975 the UPI Coaches Poll regarded bowl games as exhibitions and awarded NC after the regular season. One reason being some teams did not play in bowl games.

One thing is sure… LSU was not in the hunt in 1964 or 1972. God you people must get your information about football history only from Tr. That…or y’all are sur’nuff stupid.

Alabama fans suck at reading. First, the OP isn’t an LSU fan. Second, the OP was saying LSU didn’t win an SEC title in the 90s.
