I don't think it's a rumor but I don't think it was treated as credible by the police because he wasn't charged for it and the accounts conflict. That part and the conflicting accounts will get sorted by the student conduct board and he could still get in some trouble for it depending on what they determine.

If he was a student at a middle or high school the FBI would be called in. Making comments like this is serious in this day and age.

Guess it depends on who the witness’ are. If they were the girls friends then he may be okay. Also I know it doesn’t matter but talking about shooting a school up while in a fight with your gf seems pretty random.

It's downright bizarre. That's why I think there's a strong likelihood that the witnesses that claim this misheard what was said. It was also Saturday night in a college dorm, sobriety isn't exactly a guarantee.
