Just seeing him recover from this surgery last season and the time it took Jalen Hurts to recover from it, plus this time it is Tua's left ankle tells any logical person that Tua will be nowhere near 100 percent by the LSU game.

I would think that Tua's parents have enough input to avoid their son being exploited and potentially risking his future. And I don't think Nick Saban would risk a kid over a game that, historically, he doesn't have to win to make the post season (2011).

People need to stop making those kinds of statements, you sound ridiculous.

Prayers for that kid is what you should be doing. For him to heal or to be wise enough to not play if he's not.

To all you Tigahs that thought you had the game won.

I want Tua at full strength. It should be an awesome game and I will be disappointed if he has to sit out. Best vs Best is what makes for great games.

I'm pretty sure Waldrop said three to four weeks in the video.

He did say that I'm sure the pain from drilling holes in the bone will linger for a while, but the question is if he's medicated for pain and returns too quick, can that cause more damage?

Not if he's structurally sound. I guess, if he's medicated for the pain, then he could injure it in some other way and not feel it.

What was the date of Tua's surgery last year?

I still have no idea if Brian Maurer is alive, dead, or paralyzed

Good think Maurer didn't play for Alabama. Saban would probably have had the docs drill a hole into his head on the sidelines to relieve pressure, put a bandaid on it and put him back in.

LSU DT Glen Logan had the same procedure, and he came back at the 5 week mark for Florida.

Everyone heals differently of course, and I suspect a 300 lb lineman would need more time to return to full strength than a QB.

Several LSU posters have provided this same information, I'm wondering if other LSU posters even know this actually happened to an LSU player? Do they think Ogeron is evil like Saban and doesn't care about his players?

We know Orgeron didn't pressure his players to return, does Saban?

Ankle sprains are minor injuries that take time to heal but completely recoverable. Why would you let someone drill a hole in your bones and place foreign materials inside your body when it’s completely unnecessary and now a risk of infection?

While ankle sprains will heal on their own, even moderate high ankle sprains can result in lingering, permanent instability in the ankle, which leads to recurring sprains, especially for athletes. The tightrope procedure provides the joint with a level of stability that may never otherwise return if left to heal in the traditional fashion.

I had a bad sprain a few years back and can't play basketball anymore without a brace because that ankle gets tweaked so easily now. I would have LOVED to have had the opportunity to have a tightrope then. Not for the healing time, but for the added stability.

All of this is happening under the watchful eye of Tua's family. You're sounding mentally unstable.

I'm not 100% sure this is a ringing endorsement. They might be influenced by the Alabama gravy train and the Heisman/Pro-draft Pot-O'-Gold.
