The LHP got his first big league win today in Yankee Stadium as his Tigers won 7-3.

Smyly has been lights out so far this year. It just took him 4 starts to get that first win. Has an overall era of just over 1 right now.

Wow, I remember him pitching against the Tigers like it was yesterday. He must have rocketed up into the Majors. Good for the kid.

Yea, they moved him up quick. This is his 2nd year out of our program.
Could be another dominant lefty out of Ark. Not sure he will get to Cliff lee status though.

I didn't know he went to Ark. I watched him during his last outing. He looks like a good prospect. Leyland is awesome.
