Oh, so the people that want to make as little economic impact as possible but still expect to be accomodated. Got it.

I think it would be cool to rotate it but the issue is that its difficult to move something that is well attended. I think they could find a better stadium for it at a minimum.
Coaches love it though because everything is so centralized from the hotels to the mall to the game. Makes it easier when you have so many teams involved. It's a bigger tournament than the CWS.

Turner Field is the best pro field of any SEC team's states. Ergo it should be in Atlanta yearly.
Hell all of the SEC championships but especially those in the big 3 sports need to be hosted yearly in Atlanta.

I vote for Memphis. Would be a great location for the tourney.

Yeah. For the regional at Alex Box, just like they do for the football games. Last I checked, they aren't rotating those events.
I didn't say they were. I'm just wondering if your parents bought an RV for use in a city they live in. Doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose? Also, I'm not sure if you were calling everyone with an RV a prick or just everyone who isn't your parent.

Dont think the Braves are interested in changing thier scheudle so that the SEC could borrow thier stadium.

They don't live in Baton Rouge.

I'm calling everyone who wants special accomodations while making minimal economic impact a prick.
And that is based on the premise of the thread. IF the SEC tourney went to a rotation or bid basis, the host cities would be putting together bids based on the estimated economic impact of hosting the event. Thus, it is unreasonable to ask that they make special accomodations for the people expected to not use the hotels, bars, restaurants, etc that would actually factor in to the economic impact.

So your parents are ok because they don't demand an accommodation as the Box already accommodates RVs. Got it.

Basically. Just like the people that go to the tourney in Hoover in RVs are just taking advantage of accomodations already laid out.
Now, if they feel they should get special treatment in Memphis, NOLA, etc, should the tournament got to a bid basis, that would make them selfish pricks.

I'll all for a Memphis, New Orleans, and Birmingham (Regions Field) rotation myself. Do it like the basketball tourney where they have about a 3 city rotation.
I've come around to the idea of a rotation because there is something to be said for having it at a fresh new park each year and spreading it around a little. Having said that, Hoover has been a good site for the league. The Hoover Met is a bit sterile but it is user friendly ballpark that has drawn great crowds even in years when Alabama and Auburn were out early or altogether in the tournament. The last 3 titles game none of which have involved an Alabama school have drawn over 11,000+ which is pretty impressive.

Should the Sugar Bowl rotate? SECCG?

Huntsville would be a great location if they first renovated their minor league stadium. It is central to the Conference, and there are plenty of things to do between games.
Some of you have suggested Nashville. What a joke? The stadium here is soooo bad that the Sounds are considering moving, and there are no plans anywhere in the future for a new stadium or even stadium improvements.

The SECCG should. The Sugar Bowl was played in Atlanta after Hurricane Katrina.

It definitely needs to make its way to Texas.

Of course it should. One or the other. But it wont.

With the new additions, an arrangement where it rotates between Atlanta and Memphis would work best.
Two years in Memphis, two in Atlanta metro. That way you'd have easier trips for Mo, TAMU, AR, LSU and the MS schools.
Then the next two years it would be easier for AL schools, UGA, TN, SC and UF.
If there's a commitment to growing SEC baseball even more, this would help spur more fan interest in all the fanbases, IMO.
