My parents will for the regional at Alex Box. But they would never do it for a conference tournament.

Exactly. Why does the aspect of the crowd that spends by far the least amount of money per capita at these tournaments get preferential treatment in making the decisions?
Put it in Memphis -- where we can literally walk to/from bars, restaurants, and hotels to games and back -- and otherwise actually spend a shitload of money rather than watching a few games and grilling at the RV.

it should move to Regions Field in Birmingham. Incredible park
Never been there, but I'd bet it couldn't hold a candle to Autozone Park in Memphis.

If we're picking the best park then the tournament must be moved to NWA. I'm given to understand that Baum is a combination of Camden Yards, Old Yankee Stadium, AT&T Park, PNC Park, and the field of dreams.

Unless it's recently changed, Autozone is the most expensive minor league park ever built by a smooth $20 million. Nothing short of playing at an MLB park is going to surpass it IMO...

Hoover makes sense b/c of the parking and facilities for RV's.
Honestly, RVs should be the last consideration when picking a host site. They hardly generate any money for the city. They don't use hotels, go out to eat etc.

It's still amazing. However due to decency laws the strip clubs have to wear pasties

If its about generating money, then put the tournament closer to the schools that actually watch baseball.

Memphis borders Ark, MS, and is close to Louisiana.

I think Memphis would be great. To be honest, it isn't hard to pick a venue with more going for it than Hoover.
New Orleans/Memphis enough said. Atlanta, enough said. South Carolina. Nashville. Why we insist on putting it in Hoover is beyond me.
What does Hoover have going for it? I'm told it is centrally located. Bully.

again, I'd bet it's nothing compared to Autozone Park. I've been in a few major league stadiums and Autozone is as close to Major league as you will find in this country.

Memphis would sell out, with Arkansas, LSU and Ole Miss fans.
