No. Unless you plan on hiring someone from Mississippi that you all won’t bitch about. Be thankful you got rid of Gurt.

Kentucky is the only loss we have that upset me

Kentucky has been Jekyll & Hyde all season. They do have a physical front 7 and strong running game, though, which is traditionally a good way to win in this conference.

Keep in mind both RBs got injured after Arkansas.

That’s probably a lot of why we stopped running the ball

Hopefully they are back to full speed

Both Johnson and Marks played against UK (Marks was your leading receiver). Y'all just didn't give them the ball. Why y'all didn't is a mystery.

Teams aren't taking as many HS players today with Portal

Look at the roster and it's much more balanced than under Mullen. There were years State only had 1 decent WR and as few as 12 OL on the roster under Mullen.

And one thing you are completely whiffing on is the impact NIL and the transfer portal is having. State's NIL monies just don't measure up. NIL is going to make it difficult for any Coach at State.

He is way too entertaining to get rid of. Folding chairs was hilarious.

No they are about equal to Ole Miss. What would be the point if not for an upgrade.

Johnson didn’t play after the first series at Kentucky. Marks has stayed banged up since Arkansas. Leach is confusing, don’t try to understand his coaching ways.

It's Mississippi St. He gets you to bowl games and hes been above .500 every year but the covid year. Enjoy the wins and realize your not a contend for Atlanta every year school.

I don't think Leach is the problem. It's depth and coordinators. You need to keep him to get the depth and the coordinators need to be upgraded. Your fans need to do a better job showing up and supporting the team too. The last thing you want right now is a coaching search. That transfer portal changes the game and if you ax Leach, your decent talent may look elsewhere. I would give him at least 2 more seasons before throwing in the towel. He's getting talent to come in so your cupboard will not be bare.

So fans, boosters, and administration should just be ok with his unwillingness to make adjustments.

In most other jobs anywhere in the SEC where there is a problem coaches fix it. Leach has a track record of not fixing it just saying screw it this is my system i'm sticking to it. The problem is now here in the SEC teams have figured him out and have elite defensive players who can defend the pass.

i mean wtf are yall looking for at state? the man will have won 7 games two years in a row. You will end the year 4th in the west....dan mullen only finished higher than 4th once and yall were ready to build him a statue.

mullen only finished with a better than .500 record in conference once too, the year he finished 2nd. SO mike leach is pretty much equaling what your best coach ever has done and you want to fire him?

do you not remember mullen not adjusting and runnig the qb over and over?

your all time sec winnign percentage is .359, all time WP is 0.494 yet you want to fire the man that has you finished well above both of those and is equaling the best coach you ever had?

What is "uninspiring football?"

Being up 24-3 at home vs Auburn then having these next 9 series

Fumble (sack) FG for auburn
Fumble (sack)
End of half
Downs at the 27 giving auburn a short field they scored on
Interception
Punt 13 yd punt shanked
Punt
Punt dropped by punter set up Auburn go ahead score
Punt

Ill give credit to our team to fight to score 10 points in the last 4 minutes of the game and then the winning TD in OT.

However the 2nd 3rd and 2/3 of the 4th quarter was as painful football as ive seen since Syl Croom was marching the sidelines.

Leach is a good coach but his timing at State was bad because Kiffin overshadowed him at Ole Miss.

I strongly disagree. Since 2020, we are winning and they're not. They're about to be back at .500 overall and .400 in conference play. We are recruiting better than them and you know how our portal acquisitions have turned out. There's no guarantee the portal will work out as well for us next year, but we are clearly the superior program right now.

Let me google the definition of uninspiring for you: uninspiring: not producing excitement or interest

Mississippi State football is not exciting from week to week. Fans pretty much know what to expect now.

The same can be said about Jimbo and a few other coaches in the SEC as well. Im just curious how long Lane stays at OM he turned down tons of good jobs last year and is going to turn down Auburn this year.

But how many times have Leach teams completely disappeared in one half? You've got to be used to it by now. Hell, in the Auburn game last year (which y'all won), y'all didn't get off the bus until the third quarter.

How can you say this? You never know which team is going to show up and, if they decide to, what half they're going to take off.

The air raid has become the dink and dump very few long passes or bombs bc of the defenses we see and the inability of our QB to throw deep. He doesn't possess a big time arm.
