This.

State lost to three teams better than them and beaten every team they should have (especially true since Arkansas was without Jefferson).

I understand there have been frustrating losses and wins, but that's Leach. He has them playing competitive football with teams they should be competitive with and is going to take them to a second straight bowl game. State will finish anywhere from 7-6 to 9-4, which is pretty much exactly what they did under Mullen and Moorehead. I'm not sure what State fans expect.

Who better could you get to replace him in the current NIL environment?

Leach is a good coach for MSU. He’s not going to win titles, but he will keep you competitive and pull an upset now and then. For that program, winning 7-8 games a year is solid.

MSU fan needs to ask Texas Tech fan how it went after firing Leach.
MSU has a winning record, so stfu and realize your not Alabama.

2. Recruiting we are barely above Vandy in recruiting and he finally actually went to his first HS game in Mississippi to watch a recruit (supposedly after administration told him to be more visiable)

I and multiple other people made the point when he was hired that the Air Raid wouldn't' work against the elite front 7s of the SEC and Leach doesn't recruit for shite and it will end in disaster. Your fanbase chose him as a reactionary hire to Lane. I hope yall keep him for a decade.

Who are you going to get? He is 6-3 with two of those L's vs top 10 teams. You are delusional if you want Leach gone. Probably the reason why Cohen left.

We have ZERO shot to win the Egg Bowl at Oxford vs a VERY talented Ole Miss team that can run the ball down anyone's throat.

Who you going to get that’s better. I mean reasonably

Dan Mullen

You can't go back. No way Mullen would be as effective a 2nd time around. See Polk 2 for reference. It just doesn't work.

The problem isn't trying to compare our self with Bama, fans boosters, alumni compare our teams to Ole Miss. And we know how that has gone since they hired Kiffin and State hired Leach. That in my mind is the root of this issue.

No State fans expect to beat bama, however ALL STATE FANS EXPECT to and WANT TO BEAT OLE MISS

Leach is winning at roughly the same clip as Merlin and y'all wanted to build a statue for him.

Hell, Leach in 3 years has already played just as many regular season P5 OOC games as Merlin did in 9 seasons (2) and the only reason he hasn't played more is b/c of the COVID season. Merlin also mostly got to play Kentucky before Stoops turned them around as they are now a legit team that is no longer an auto win.

I hope we beat the shite out of y'all but you know how crazy the Egg Bowl can be. Y'all have struggled stopping the run, though, but you're in luck, because we can't stop the pass. We have a sterling 10:2 TD:INT ratio in conference play.

Mullen didn't recruit for shite.

Leach out recruits him even in the NIL environment.

TBH we can't stop the run and then we get play actioned and destroyed. If we can't stop the Air Raid with 7 DBs then the whole defensive staff needs to return their salary.

Maybe your recruiting struggles aren't attributable to your head coach . . .

Our defensive gameplan against LSU ought to be perfect for State
