Clemson's biggest win was over below average Texas A&M, while Florida will have beaten 2 top 10 teams and lost in a close game to the #1 team in the nation on the road.

At minimum, a convincing argument can be made

There was a thread on the TR a few days ago regarding the subjectivity of the rankings.

The point I made was that conference championship games AND strength of schedules have to matter all of the time completely, or never, but the CFP committee can't pick and choose when to emphasize one or the other to justify its picks for top 4.

At this point of the season, we obviously can't account for conference champions yet, but we can for SOS.

To your point, yes, I think an argument can be made for UF to jump Clemson at this point.

Georgia almost lost to Kentucky and Notre Dame.

And they lost to South Carolina at home. Fan bases can make fun of Florida's "embarrassing" wins, but Georgia is not one of them

Man, who really cares? The first poll means nothing. You still have to beat Georgia and eventually LSU or Alabama. Do that and things will take care of themselves. Lose to LSU again or Bama and you are out, two losses is too much as UGA was told last year. Worrying about where you sit right now is stupid.

So the undefeated previous national champion who is top 5 in total defense, total offense and average margin of victory should get jumped by a one loss SEC team that is not in the top 20 in all three categories because SEC is just so tough?!?

I guess it just means more. This is the kind of hick logic that had this board never giving Clemson a chance against mighty Bama that past couple of years. Bama fans are about the only ones on here who actually understand how good some of the other teams are outside of the conference.

If UF beats UGA, they will have two top 10 wins compared to Clemsons ZERO.

The rankings will reflect the body of work done this year.

And I’m glad UGA fans in this thread are done playing possum. Continue to spew the shite y’all said all offseason.

How about worrying about beating UGa first? You're worried about winning a beauty contest by being ahead of Clemson in the first CFP poll while Teams like Alabama and Clemson have been there enough to know that if you take care of business things will work out.

The last CFP poll is the one that matters. I hope you do jump us..the disrespect we are getting just stokes the embers with out little program.

Has there ever been a more delusional fan base than 2019 Florida?

I don't like Florida but I give your Rant fans credit that you usually don't post this kind of silly arse bullshite.

The answer is no, but as always it will take care of itself.
