Should an 11-1 SEC team get into the playoffs ahead of a 13-0 Clemson?

I don’t see it, unfortunately. Clemson best the brakes off of Bama in last year’s final and have not lost since the 2017 championship game. They’re the def being champion and deserve to be beat on the field.

No matter the circumstances they've won 2 of 4 natty's & still in a P5 conference so it's a mute point.

If the voters think that SEC team is better than Clemson then yes. This isnt boxing...you dont get to defend your title. Playoffs should have the four best teams, period. If they dont seem to be one of those four, they should not be in

No.
They are the defending national champions.

If that 11-1 SEC team wins the conference only due to the schedule the SEC team plays compared to what Clemson plays. And don’t say that they beat aTm. Arkansas damn near beat aTm. aTm can’t win unless there are refs calling holding every other play, pass interference constantly and targeting on the opposing team’s best players. aTm is no measuring stick to compare a non-SEC team to an SEC schedule and it be any true representation of what it is like to play in the SEC, or especially the SEC West.

The defending Champs that beat the breaks off of Bama SHOULD be in if they are undefeated
LOL...what kind of goofy shite is this

Without a doubt. Whom would Clemson have beaten? Whom would the SEC team have beaten? And in all likelihood the SEC team's one loss would be to a top-2 team. If the goal is to have the country's four best teams make the playoff, the answer is a clear, Yes.

The playoff committee is not supposed to look at anything but this year. So that has zero relevance to how the voting should be done this year. It is not a lifetime award. It isnt supposed to be at least.

The playoffs is about determining the best team, not the 4 best teams.
If a team doesn't win its conference, it cannot claim to be the best team in the country.

Probably but it won't happen.
They deserve the benefit of the doubt based off last year.Just the way it works

Clemson was that close to being on the outside looking in but they survived & will probably get minimum 1 more scare before the playoffs.

Obviously you missed the Bama memo... twice.

There's a reason why SEC homers lobby every day on here for Clemson to be left out of the playoffs.
