That are of the belief that they will duplicate UF's feat of winning the football and basketball championship in the same year?
I don't think you'd find a Florida fan who can really believe it happened much less another school. I don't foresee any other team doing it anytime soon. Can a school do it? Maybe. I certainly don't see LSU having the basketball team to do it.

Basketball as a whole has been crazy this year with no clear cut overall dominant team
Duke has lost 3 games (a lot for their standard this early in the year), UNC is putrid, and Auburn got teabagged two games in a row

You are correct. LSU is the only team that could do it this year. Its just so damned hard to win either one much less both.
It would be cool to see it done again. Even if its not by my team.

I think that duplicating Miami's feat of winning the football and baseball championships in the same year a more realistic and doable goal.

Good point. I laughed when I saw LSU fans saying they are the best athletics program in the SEC. They seem to believe it when its obvious to everyone they aren't.
I'm hoping that its only a few rabid uneducated LSU fans running their C-Sucker.
That's why I asked if it was all or a few. They haven't sniffed an all sports trophy... ever. For Christ's sake A&M does better than LSU in the all around sports.

Is LSU still the only SEC school with double digit conference titles in football, basketball and baseball? Not sure on track and field but they probably have ten or more there too.
I'd say that's a pretty good athletic dept on the men's side at least.

I dont think we have the b-ball team this year. We dont have a guard, enough shooting or a dominate down low presence. We have a team full of forwards with tons of athletic ability though. I expect to make the tourny and anything could happen I guess but think a championship run is very unlikely. Baseball on the other hand could be a real possibility IMO.

We are most likely the only team in the country to make the playoffs of all 3 major sports this year. And in my opinion would not be the craziest thing in the world if we won 2/3.
Unlikely, but we are in the best position to do so of any program in the country.

What does it matter?
Is it likely? Of course not. Not even remotely.
But there isn’t a dominate team in college basketball this year, so while I have no expectation in any way that it will even come close to happening, I’m going to enjoy watching this team keep continuing to win games, no matter how close they are.
