Saban will coach a couple of more years and either retire or move on. He cannot stay at the same level of Mr. Intense into his late 60's or 70's, just a fact.

It's an opinion actually.

I love Nick for what he did here at LSU. The way it went down and he went to Miami, supposedly I guess everyone wants a shot at the NFL. Timing was right for Bama to get him and you had the best job available once he saw that he couldnt tame the prima donnas in the NFL. Just the way it happens. I still dont think Bertman did everything in his power to keep him at LSU but that is just my opinion. Anyway , love the guy thought he put LSU on the Map and relevant once again in football and will forever thank him for that.

He's one of the goats. Thankful for what he did at LSU.

Not necessarily. He left for the NFL for what he thought would be a better situation and left LSU in pretty good shape.

Do you love him for having a great run at LSU and winning a NC?

I'd love any coach who had a great run at LSU and won a NC.

Not as long as Miles is coach. He's gotten us to the big dance twice with a great opportunity to be the first coach to win 3 BCS titles. Saban is great, but I'll keep Miles for now.

Ive always liked Saban. Don't have a problem with the way he left, lost a little respect for him when he turned out to be a greedy liar. I would not accept him back even though I think he's the best coach in college football because he had his chance and I like our guy better.

Don't hate him for leaving lsu for Miami just pissed he came back to the sec and Bama. I mean he could have left after the natty in 04 for the bears so knew it was a matter of time. I don't like the fact that he lied but that is how things go. Also we were on top outside of UF per se and had a bad feeling it was going to elevate Bama back to the top.

Closest thing I can compare it to is petino leaving uk for the celtics and then going to Louisville, except he hasnt dominated like calipari.

However you are not correct, I believe you saw a post where I said LSU could be 7-5 and took it that I said they will be. It is a selective reading issue that hinders 90% of the board.

Say what? Saban already has 3 BCS titles. Miles has 1. Saban is the 1st and only one with 3, and can expand on that record by making it 4 in the next few years. Miles is doing fine, but anyone who says they'd prefer Miles over Saban is either just dumb or they have completely decieved themselves about the two men. Saban could go down as one of the GOAT coaches, in the same conversation with names like Bowden, Spurrier and even Bryant. Miles is good, but he's not even close to being in that conversation.

LOL @ LSU fans that think stating facts about our coach means we are delusional. Everything I stated was and is fact. He has 3 NC's and counting...that puts him in the conversation of GOAT's. Miles with 1, puts him nowhere close to the discussion.

It's not like Miles isn't a good coach though, LSU had possibly the best regular season in the history of college football last season.Miles has to be a top 3 college football coach right now IMO, and LSU are loaded this year.Sure I think Saban is the best coach in College Football, but Miles isn't far behind as far as current college football coaches.Miles has been able to hang with Saban pretty well considering he is 3 and 3 against Saban. Both are great coaches.

I got my words mixed up. I meant to say Miles has a chance to make LSU the first school to win 3 BCS titles. My apologies for that one.

And I'll still takes Miles over Saban even though Saban is probably the best college coach coaching right now. I don't think that makes me an idiot. The only way I would take Saban is if Miles was fired or retired and even then I wouldnt be 100% on taking him. I appreciate Saban for what he did in BR but I'll stick with our guy Les.

I don't like him for two reasons.
1) he comes across as an arrogant prick
2) what draconian said. Could have coached anywhere and chose to go to the same division as his old school and recruit in LA.

Yep I could agree with this...and , if Miles did leave I would not want Saban back...I just don't respect him.

No shite sherlock. Our NC winning coach left and eventually landed at a divisional rival. You're an awful poster.

How do you really feel about Nick Saban? He's aight...

Do you hate him for the way he left? I hate that he phoned in the Cap 1 game that year. But, no, I don't hate him for wanting to try the NFL.

Do you love him for having a great run at LSU and winning a NC? Do I love him for that...no. I do appreciate what he did though.

If he wanted to come back to LSU someday would you accept him? Sure. Why not?

Thankful. Brought back the good times.

Nope. He is an opportunist and journeyman as most coaches are. No different.

Love? Nah. Appreciative, sure.

Hell but hell no. Fine with Les and I like his style.
