I don't like him for two reasons.
1) he comes across as an arrogant prick
2) what draconian said. Could have coached anywhere and chose to go to the same division as his old school and recruit in LA.
frick Nick Saban.
Yes, I'm mad.

I hate Saban the same exact way you hate Fran. The day he took the Bama job I considered him a piece of shite, no character classless traitor.

No I didn't mean to post it twice.

I don't dislike at all what he did when he left. He always wanted to go to the NFL, we knew that. I also don't dislike him for going to bama. It just fell right for him, that is all. I have no hard feelings at all, it is business. He is a good coach, but he is not the only good coach. Honestly I am just as comfortable with Les Miles coaching as I would be with saban. In some ways saban is better, but there are certain characteristics of miles that are so much better than saban. I'm very happy that LSU has a quality guy in control of LSU, and the players and coaches love him. We are both very lucky to have good coaches right now...as you know, it isn't always that way.

A little off topic but, I think that the majority of Bama fans respect LSU and think that Miles is a great coach.I'll admit that a few years ago I thought that Miles was the luckiest coach in the history of coaching and was overrated, but after what he did last year, and considering that it's been 7 years since Saban left and LSU is as strong as ever, it's obvious that that isn't the case at all.I like Miles personality, and can see why kids love to play for him, he will be at LSU a long time too most likely, he already had a chance to leave and go to Alma Mater and din't, you can tell that he loves coaching at LSU.

Saban did essentially put LSU on the map, he brought the program to levels it had not reached during many of our lifetimes. LSU gained a lot of popularity during his time which is because he won.
Also talent he inherited is overblown, LSU had talent thanknto Dinardo but no depth. Saban also inherited a lot of young players he groomed. Just like Dinardo inherited talent so did Saban.
Ryan Clark
Jerel Myers
Fred Booker
Trev Faulk
Bradie James
Norman Lejuene
Josh Reed
Robert Royal
Players he inherited, not shabby but most young, not a lot of junior/senior talent outside of transfers. He did a lot to restore LSU to previous glory and actually exceed the past.

Saban is about to become milk toast !
His best days are coming to an end and the retirement home is getting a rocker ready !

The sad thing is he has taken a tremendous amount of shite from LSU fans. He has a tremendous record at LSU, and runs a quality program, yet you still have idiots out there (young and old) who think he can't coach. Honestly, if I were Miles, I would win the championship this year, and then consider telling lsu to get fricked. The man has taken a lot of abuse at LSU.

Lol I disagree, His first full recruiting class (08) just graduated, and we have had a top 3 recruiting class every year since, our best teams under Saban are probably still ahead of us.I don't think he is the type of guy who'd be happy not coaching, he has no hobbies that I know of.I can see him staying at Bama at least through 2020 when his contract expires and being just as good of a coach as he is now.True Saban is 60 now, but Bowden won a national championship when he was 70, and Bear Bryant won one when he was 66.Also Spurrier is now 67 and seems to be coaching just as good as he was 10 or 15 years ago, so I see know reason why Saban won't be able to if he stays healthy.

I have always like Les, i took up for him on tigerrant a couple years ago when they was all ready to get rid of him, the man has been through
a lot in his life, he's a fighter and a winner.

If Saban still has the drive he has at least another 5 years at his current level. At that point historically you see some coaches start to trail off a bit. Hard to say if Saban will be one of those or if we will be one of the guys who can go into his early 70's without missing a beat. Just can't know. He could be there another 15 years basically doing the same thing or he could retire in 3 or 4 years because of burnout. Neither would surprise me.

True but that is part of coaching, any school that cares about football gives their coach a hard time when they lose.If Bama had lost in the NC game last year I'm sure Saban would've taken just as much abuse from some Bama fans as Miles did from some of the LSU fans.

How do you really feel about Nick Saban?Do you hate him for the way he left?Do you love him for having a great run at LSU and winning a NC?If he wanted to come back to LSU someday would you accept him?
1. I accept the fact that he's the best in the game right now. He's also the best recruiter in the game right now.
2. I won't say hate. I dislike the fact he's at Bama. I don't blame him for trying out the NFL.
3. I respect that he put LSU back on the map.
4. He could never come back to LSU at this point. He will retire at Bama and I think Miles will retire here.

IMO from what I've seen, it's usually about the age of 70 when a coach starts declining, for Bowden it was later than 70, but for Paterno and Bryant it happened around 70.
