I don’t think he is. But if you’re A&M that’s the only way you are getting a coach that’s highly touted so they did what they had to do.

1. Does it matter how as long as you land a great coach?

2. Apparently whatever way Lsu went about it was a failure when Herman and the rest rest of the top candidates rejected you. That's how O happened.

I’m sure our new elite athletic director will hire someone good after Orgeron is fired

Sure does feel good to be a real school and not some lil bro filled with gay rejects. Sorry that Woodward left y’all on the altar

Serious question, but what advantages do you believe your team has over LSU this year? We lost DW and Greedy (who Stingley is supposedly better than) but got better in all of our units as a team, and will have home field advantage.

Good. Maybe your team will man up then and score a single point on Alabama.

Best of luck little bro

Probably will. Our athletic director will certainly hire someone who can. Damn it feels good to have Scott Woodward at the helm

I think this is Lsu's best chance to have a great team in a long time.

A&M will have an edge at QB, DL, WR, and coaching. QB and coaching alone is enough to overcome many many things.

Can't imagine how thrilling it must be to get the kind of promotion he just received.

a&m will be fine. They've got a good little program over there.

Please explain to the board why tapping a market of more 5* studs is a bad idea.

Please. We're all ears.

A&M is happy with the hire and the way it was done, so that means the AD did his job for the situation he was in. He was also probably told to get Jimbo no matter the cost, because he was the best available at the time. I personally wouldn’t be happy with it, but I neither work for or cheer for A&M.

That’s what made LSU fans mad, and part of the reason we have a new AD. Herman likely was never coming to LSU and was just using us to leverage more money from UT. They were going to get him no matter what the price was. What made LSU fans mad is that when Herman didn’t happen there was never much of a “search”. I think fans would’ve been happier with the O hire if it were made apparent that other people were more heavily looked at.

I don’t think Mond is any better than Burrow. We returned all of our starting DL, the guy who left started games bc of injury. May be right about WR but we looked pretty good in the spring game (can’t judge it all on that I know). Obviously biased here but I have to disagree.

This is true.

Fehoko and Lawrence would not start here. And our WR’s are much more physical than the lsu DB’s. Kendrick Rogers manhandled the little Kary Vincent player

So you would rather have a coach who can only recruit one region, making you limited on recruiting options, rather than a coach that can recruit all over the country?

That’s idiotic

I agree. He went from a good lil program, don’t get me wrong, but they just don’t have any history and their fanbase brags about 8-4 seasons. Going from the 3rd-4th most prestigious school in its state to the Flagship of Louisiana must be pretty exciting for him

Why California? I thought Louisiana had all the talent a LSU coach would need.
