Exhibit A is the fact that apparently Kentucky and Tennessee are not currently scheduled to play every year under the new format. Apparently, Mississippi State, Georgia and someone else are supposed to be better games. Why is it then, that virtually non-stop trash talk from Tennessee fans appears in my twitter feed on an almost daily basis? If that's not the sign of a rivalry (notwithstanding UK-UT being the second longest continuous rivalry in the SEC), I don't know what is.

If TN has Bama and FL, then it's only right they should be thrown an easy team like KY.

That’s the best breakup of rivalries and fair scheduling as I’ve seen but they’re going to worry more about TV revenue.

I said this early on, if the triangle does not hold

(Kentucky, Tennessee, and Vanderbilt)

Then ESPN is calling the shots, not SEC HQ.

Was a bad sign when they put the SECN in the ACC footprint

With sixteen teams, I don't know why they just don't quit with the permanent opponents entirely.

Starting to lean that way. My biggest fear is college becomes completely like NFL. I enjoy CFB rivalries in the sec and other conferences as well.

Your team maybe good from time to time but the point is no one really wants to watch Kentucky football as much as Tennessee against more popular teams. Kentucky football team isn't popular. I would say the same for Missouri football team.

South Carolina and Kentucky were never world beaters in football but both were historically in the Top 25 in annual attendance. I tend to disagree with your point.

The problem with that is that it's a moving target. UF/UT used to be must-see TV, not so much anymore. They could set up a schedule for TV that would be worthless in a few seasons.

Then throw in Texas and Oklahoma to a 9-game schedule, and now you can hardly avoid having a big game every week.

Kentucky must get Tennessee and Vanderbilt. We have too much shared history.

Not to Kentucky but I am talking about the majority of the fans. That is why it is worth notice many fans like to watch Tennessee games over any Kentucky games because of history. It is same for other teams like Vandy, MSU and some others. Just do not bring in much of a draw from other fan bases.

In would prefer UK, Bama, and Auburn in a pod.

Or UK, Vandy, UT, and South Carolina to keep the November meetings.

Meh I'm fine with whoever the permanent SEC teams are for SC. Clemson is the only necessary team for SC on a yearly basis.

There has been nothing decided but this will be pretty damn close when it’s said and done.

83-26-9 is hardly a rivalry.
Vandy is more of a rivalry than Kentucky is. Even Vandy has more wins against UT than Kentucky, but 77–39-5 is hardly a rivalry either. I was hoping for Kentucky as it’s a guaranteed win now days.

It's pretty much known at this point that we drew Bama, Ole Miss and A&M, so what's the point?
