Nevermind in 4 of those 5 games that Trask had more attempts so stands to reason he’d have more yards. Duh
In the game youre talking about, Franks threw 29 passes vs Vandy for 284 yards.
Trask vs Vandy. 37 passes
UVA - 39 passes
FSU - 41 passes
LSU - 39 passes
Tenn - 28 passes for 293 yards

So 1 game of those 5 he had less attempts as UF was pass heavy this season due to lack of sufficient run blocking. Last years team was more balanced.

Trask can play, no one is saying he cant, but youre comparing different circumstances. You also leave out last year was the teams first year in Mullens system so the playcalling was pretty conservative.
Franks in 18 - 58.4% for 7.6 yards per 143.3 rating.
Franks in 19 [a year in the system / more aggressive calls] 76.1% 9.8 yards per 173.4 rating
In 2 full games in 19
Franks avg’d 262 yards per on 27 passes per game. 9.7 yards per
Trask avg’d 278 yards per on 34 passes per game. 8.2 yards per
