Of course this guy says no. He probably wants to ignore how Julio has owned PP7 even in NFL (and I think PP7 is phenomenal as a player and, by all accounts, as a person.)

Let's look at Julio's accomplishments:
* 5X Pro Bowler (will be 6X after this year)
* 2X All Pro (will be 3X after thsi year)
* Fastest player in NFL history to 9,000 Rec Yds
* Fastest player in NFL history to 10,000 Rec Yds
* Highest YPG of any WR in NFL history (22 YPG more than Jerry Rice)
* 3 games of 250+ Rec Yds (no other WR has more than 1)
* Has 171 catches of 20+ yards in his career
* Has 485 career catches that resulted in 1st down
* One of only 5 players in NFL history with 3 seasons of 1,500+ Rec Yds

But yeah. You think there's a better SEC produced WR.

Seriously. At this point it's not even debatable. Also, as of today only the GOAT Jerry Rice has more 1500 yard seasons than Julio.

Julio is easily the greatest SEC WR.

Even if you think OBJ is better, he’s not significantly better. Thomas is PFF’s Football Outsiders no.1 rated WR. They’re not the end all be all but my point is he definitely has argument for being better then OBJ.

Never? Yes he has. He had a 189 yard day against the Cardinals a few years back in which PP covered him for a good chunk of the game. There was another game after that in which PP contained him. So they’re about even but Jones did beat him for a TD catch this week.

None of you are even close. WHO is the highest overall SEC WE draft pick?

How about 3rd overall (don't bother looking, its the highest pick)...Wes Chandler of UF after playing from 1974-1977. UF ran a wishbone back then and although we did not throw the ball much..he was a standout. As a senior, cause of lack of talent, he also played some RB/QB.
He was 5'11 170lbs.

He had the misfortune of being draft by the miserable NO Saints and after a few years traded to San Deigo where he and John Jefferson terrorized DBs. But his talent was wasted for at least 4 years.

Evans or OBJ.
Both are elite.
Both in shite situations and making something of it as well.

Is Mike Evans the best receiver in #Buccaneers history?

Already has most rec yds in team history (5,907 and counting).

Just set new career high in rec yds for a season (1,328 and counting)

I mean that just shows the the Bucs have a realy sad history.

Odell has the same kinda records with the Giants most likely but probably isn't close.
Odell-Amani Toomer, Plaxico Burres, Frank Gifford?

AJ-(Chad Johnson, Carl Pickens, Chris Collinsworth TJ Hous-your-daddy?)

Julio... (Roddy White maybe?)

I can't think of another WR in Bucs history that is on Evans level.

That's not what the thread is.

It's who are the best WRs in the NFL right now from the SEC.

My top 3 is Julio, Evans, OBJ (you can change OBJ and Evans either or are good choices)

Both lighting up the league with shite QBs/QBs well past their prime.

OBJs problem is all the drama and noise and bullshite he brings along. Seems to have done better recently in terms of avoiding complete meltdowns during games but still can be a distraction at time.

On the field, going after a deep ball not many who can compete with him.

Meh I think that's a little exaggerated.

As long as he doesn't get suspended, it's not an issue.

Living here I've watched many games of his, I still have no clue how Eli Manning is playing, must be some legacy kinda shite. That guy throws one of the ugliest balls in the NFL and makes a play out of it. But there have been still shots of plays where Eli doesn't even see a wide open Beckham. He gets happy feet the minute an ounce of pressure comes to him, checks down to Saquon (a lot) or just collapses.Without him they have no Deep threat.

Could you imagine if he had Brees throwing him the ball (and this coming from a Panthers fan... frick the Saints)

Would Hines Ward be considered recent history? 1,000 career receptions. 12,000 career yards, two rings. 85 TD's. Steelers all time leading receiver. Super Bowl MVP. One of the best blocking WR's of all time.

Mike
383 for 5907 and 37td @ 15.4 per

OBJ
390 for 5476 and 44td @ 14 per

both have had outstanding careers so far.

Not in my opinion, since his last year was 2011, but he's certainly one of the best SEC Wrs of all time.

In my honest opinion OBJ is the most gifted pure receiver in the league. The only guys that can be considered on his level are AJ Julio and AB. They're more productive than OBJ but OBJ is truly the most gifted all around
