UGA vs FAU, Kirby vs Kiffin would be fun. #SabanBowl

This would be amazing to watch. Rewards the top seeds by getting to play a much easier team while still giving everyone a shot at the Natty.

I would try to watch every game.

Regular season is 12 games. Looks like we'd wind up playing another 3rd of a season if we made it all the way through. That and the SECCG would make 17 games total. That's a lot of football to be played.

If this happens, then we'd have a 8-10 game season

This is assuming Mullen still wasn't too busy packing his bags to prep for the egg bowl.

This graphic is actually a great argument against a 16 team playoff.

Two games+ of revenue taken away from a majority of teams, would be pretty harmful to the power 5 teams, and catastrophic to the group of 5 conferences, that wouldn't be getting those big paydays to get blown out by the Bama's and Ohio State's of the world

ONLY 3? That's actually good representation. With four other power 5 conferences, a couple of mid-major conferences and some independents throw in, three teams is pretty damn good.

Heading into the selection show, the debate would be between at large candidates: LSU, Miami, Notre Dame, TCU, Washington.

The cons are obvious, but damn, they idea of starting the regular season knowing that every FBS team in nation had a viable path to the national championship sure felt oddly just.

Pretty close early on last year.

LINK

It was 13-10 in the early minutes of the 4th quarter when a horrible ACC officiating crew blew the whistle well after one of our guys stripped the ball and was running wide open towards the other endzone for a score. It was like 1st or 2nd and goal and the Clemson RB was still trying to run, even though progress had been stopped. Could have been the difference in the game.
