looks good to me. wouldn't be surprised if Stingley is #1 by seasons end though

Agreed in terms of talent he’s arguably already the most talented corner in the country. The way he shut Down Colin Johnson as a true freshmen was special. Sam Ehlinger was more comfortable testing a projected first round pick in kristan Fulton then Derek stingley

I don't know all the CB's in the league but Noah Igbinoghene is awfully good and will play on Sundays.

Lmao Stingley already ahead of Surtain after two games? The hype is off the charts but what has he done?

Lol at Fulton. Did you watch the Texas game? Jaycee Horn is the best one nobody knows about YET...but will soon.

Played with a bad ankle that game and outside of misplacing the ball on what should’ve been a pick he had a solid game he’s always on position in man coverage. Jaycee horn has promise we’ll see what he’s made up Saturday against bama’s receivers

He held Colin Johnson to 0 catches when matched up against him and half the time he’s on an island as a true freshmen. Stingley is arguably the most physically gifted cb in the country already. Surtain is also good thats why he’s in my top 6 not like I snubbed him from my list but stingley is more fluid, has better long speed, quicker feet and better ball skills imo feel free to tell me why I’m wrong I like hearing different prospectives

...or Texas knew Fulton was hurt and decided to pick on him all game.
I'm guessing it's a little bit of both. He's talented but its only 2 games. Cant crown him yet

It’s fair to say he has a small sample size and probably needs to prove himself more but man his talent is obvious and already jumps off the screen

I didnt really believe the hype but if you watch some of the film on that game he had terrible technique but he is so explosive a bigger receiver cant get away. Its unbelievable the talent he has

Kid is the most athletically gifted and that helped him cover some technical mistakes.
Short analysis of a couple of Stingley's plays.
Not sure if he's top 6 yet, though. I'll have to see the rest against solid comp before I make that judgement.

He truly is a freaky athlete. When he opened his hips early on that one route Johnson ran that he ended up breaking up in what was suppose to be a back shoulder, almost any other corner would’ve given up a completion simply cause of how early he opens his hips. But he so explosive and has such advanced footwork to go along with long speed that he made that play look easy

The thing about Stingley is that even though he was out of position in those plays on that film, as a freshman, he apparently already has better footwork and technique than most players in the country. He has rarely been out of position and when he is, his ridiculous athletic ability allows him recover with ease.
Last year an NFL scout said his footwork was already NFL ready. Don’t have a link but it was said, though I’m not sure how accurate that was.
I’m not stating all this as fact but it is very encouraging and based on his play the first two games, it’s not that far fetched to believe he is top 6 in the SEC already.
