If you could build the SEC from scratch what would it look like
Would it be
14 teams
12 teams
10 teams
And who would these teams be...
Would they divided between east and west...how would you have teams play each other venus how it is done now

I like 12 teams because I want to play in the opposing division's stadium more than once every 10 years.
East:
Clemson
UF
UGA
Virginia Tech
Kentucky
South Carolina
West:
Bama
Auburn
LSU
Arkansas
Ole Miss
MSU
Schedule like the SEC did before conference expansion and still keep the permenant cross divisional opponent.

16 teams. Current SEC - Vandy + FSU and Clemson for sure. Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, or Texas to round out 16.
Four 4 team divisions (geographically aligned so this would really depend on who the 16th team is)
9 Conference games:
1. Each team plays every team in their division
2. 3x Perm. non-div rivals (one in each other division)
3. Rotate home and home between the other non-rival, non-div opponents
1x OOC P5 game required
1x other game
4x division winners play in mini-tourny (NOLA + a non-Texas place with a dome for the semi-finals, ATL for SEC CG).
This would still give the SEC winner and runner-up 13 games before the bowls, the same way it is now.
Bring on the downvotes.

Keep the current SEC. Like it or not the additions of Missouri and Texas A&M had big influences on the SECs payout. But for the love of god give us 9 conference games

I think 12 teams is just the right amount. Keep the 2 divisions and SEC title game. Move to a 9 game conference schedule and no permanent opponents. Traditional rivals in opposing divisions would still play at least every other year.
Here are the teams:
East
Florida
Georgia
Tennessee
Clemson
North Carolina
Virginia or Virginia Tech
West
Alabama
Auburn
Ole Miss or Miss State
LSU
Texas
Oklahoma
