Auburn finish last in the West in 2012 and again in 2015

What other two years do you have them finishing last in the West since 2008?

Nope, we had the tie breakers on State

I did miss '15 so LSU and Auburn are tied

Auburn had the same record as Mississippi State both of those seasons. There are no official tie-breakers for last place. Only first place.

Auburn finished in last place in the West in 2008 and 2009. I am simply stating a fact. Sorry if you can't handle it.

Auburn had the same conference record, but beat Mississippi State both of those Seasons. Auburn finished with a better overall record than MSU both of those years

Let me know if you see anything about last place tie-breakers mentioned here on the SEC's website.

It seems to me that you are the one trying to argue your way out of a last place finish by making up a fake last place tie-breaker.

It is an unbelievable stat. They've only had back-to-back 10+ win seasons once in program history. That's mind-boggling for a program with 2 national titles, 3 Heisman winners, 8 SEC championships, etc.

As far as I can tell, from a purely semantic standpoint, he's not wrong.

The tie break procedures are only outlined in the event of a tie for the championship... otherwise, it would seem that ties are considered acceptable.

Not sure if there is anything out there that contradicts this, but that's straight from the SEC.

Of course I'm not wrong.

Tie-breakers were never in place in the SEC until the divisions were put into place. However, if Auburn fans truly want to use head-to-head whenever they please, they should no longer claim the 1988 SEC Championship.

LSU and Auburn both finished 6-1 in conference in 1988, but LSU beat Auburn that season. Is Auburn still conference champion?

The answer is yes, they are. However, Auburn has also finished last place in the SEC West four times since 2008.

what does the SEC say?

And even if they stated what you said in regards to the divisions, your original statement is still incorrect
