It was a pretty remarkable turnaround. I think I read where 7 of their conference losses were by one run. Just could not put it together. But finished strong and look to be a regional lock with an RPI of 30. A win over #25 Ole Miss (ranking and RPI) wouldn't hurt.
I figure State will get sent to one of the ACC hosts (Clemson, Virginia Tech or Florida State) as a formidable 3 seed. State is the only SEC team never to make a Super Regional in softball, but they have a decent history.

It is absolutely insane that only one game doesn't involve at least one ranked team.

This has been an amazing season for Arkansas. We were, if not the worst, then damn near close to it, program in the SEC when it came to softball. You hire good people and you get good results.
Man, this tournament is going to be a blood bath. Half the teams in it have a legit shot at winning a national title and the other half have a legit shot of knocking those teams off in a series.

Maybe - winning the national title is really frickin hard. There is a reason only 2 SEC schools have done it and Alabama, despite being in OKC 12x, has only won it 1 time. I think that Alabama and Florida are probably the only 2 with a legitimate shot at winning it all, and I'd still put UCLA pretty out in front of both of them.
What the SEC does have is 8 teams who could easily make it to OKC, though (Bama, Florida, LSU, Arkansas, Tennessee, Missouri, Georgia, Kentucky).

Miss. State has that mighty mo going for them. I wouldn't be surprised that they play well and upset a team.
