Other than Oklahoma, is it all SEC and PAC-12 schools left?

SEC Softball

As dominant as this conference is in all sports (except Men's Soccer and Lacrosse of course) .... this Softball thing may be our most overall dominant sport in the Conference.

What's incredible about it as that ten years ago the sport was completely dominated by the PAC12. Now, look on our rosters at how many west coast and B1G territory girls are coming to the SEC to play softball.

If ever there was proof of what the best facilities and coaches can do for a conference sport ... this is it because that's how we took over the game. Facilities and cosches.

FSU joins them in the "wish we were in the SEC" club as only reps of their conference.

That’s what i was thinking (Vandy) but wasn’t sure.

The entire State of MS is embarrassing.

Your obsession with Mississippi is evident. Msu never put much into athlectics as a whole until we ousted Templeton and started hiring AD's who actually cared. Believe it or not, our softball is light years ahead of what it has been forever. Our tennis team is gowing and our womens basketball is. Our mens hoops will turn around and our baseball program will hire a top coach at seasons end. You tall so much trash 24/7 but I detect fear. See you during football season.

I'm disappointed with the softball season. There was no reason not to win the Arizona Regional.

Maybe FSU should replace Mizzou in the SEC East.

I believe this is the set up for the supers:

UK at Oregon
SoCar at AZ State
Bama at UW
Arky at OU
Arizona at UCLA
LSU at FSU
Vols at UGA
aTm at Flo-rida

CWS will be:
Oregon
Az St
UW
OU
UCLA
FSU
UGA
UF

OU still most dangerous hitting team but their pitching is maybe 5th best among teams likely to get to CWS. Their defense is not that good IMO. If OU and FL have to match up to get to the final series, then it'll be Oregon and OU. If not then it'll be FL and Oregon.
Oregon beats OU but FL beats Oregon.

Stats from the NCAA through 5/18:

OU is 3rd in ERA among remaining teams and still #1 in fielding percent LINK

As for the SEC dominance so far in the tournament, they’ve done the same thing all 16 home teams have done-hold serve. I’ll be impressed when 2-3 road teams from the Supers make the WCWS.

Arkansas hasn't exactly opened the spigots as far as spending on our Softball program, but even a little investment of money and finding a good coach has paid solid dividends for us.

The benefit of the second tier sports is that you don't have to spend huge gobs of cash to have a good program. Find the right coach, improve the facilities so top recruits don't grimace in horror when they take a tour, and offer recruits the chance to compete in a league with a fairly solid fan base and the recruits will come.

I remember when ADs across the conference decided to scrounge up their pocket change and upgrade the gymnastic programs. The SEC became a solid conference almost over night.

We get OU next so its probably the end of the line for Arkansas, but considering how amazingly awful the program has been its a remarkable turn around in just three years time under the new coaching regime. A little bit of money, and some time and effort can really pay off.

Call me impressed by how the Hogs have improved. I see the series going 3 low scoring games dominated by pitching. If your girls don’t make the WCWS this year, they are young enough to build on that experience for next year.

OU may beat the Hogs arse this week...but looking at OU's schedule, its not hard to figure out how they have won 50+ games this season.

While Arkansas is young, they have a chance in this super IMO.
