Such as, why is this guy responsible for spotting the ball a country mile down the field.

How about, "why is Marc Curles within 50 miles of any SEC stadium"?

With the technological advances we have at this point, I don’t understand why we can’t have gps of some sort down to the foot updated ever .1 seconds. Then all you would need to do is determine when guy is down and find out where the ball was on the grid at that point.

Yet the review showed he was right. Why are you melting over this. He actually made the right call. The ball is not in the hand your arrow is pointing to, it was in his left when the knee hit and that was by his waist.

Wow the Rant is a sad place

Let me drop this here to make this thread not a complete shite show of butt hurt

That doesn't all of a sudden make Marc Curles a competent official.

How come there are no cameras on the other side of the field?

I've seen people argue for this, I've just never seen anyone argue against it.

No I'm not, watch the replay.. he runs all the way down and stops where he thinks it's down, then runs all the way to the middle to place the ball. There is no other ref that has a view or is even close. Even if there was a ref on the opposite side he wouldn't have been able to see the ball.

He had the benefit of a yard line. The ball was a yard short. Any fool on that side of the field could see it. There are always questionable calls in games. Sack our QB and out score us. Or quit bitching. Not that the SEC colluded to get Ole Miss a win. We had twice the penalties. Did the SEC beat Arkansas or did Auburn?

I have no idea and I sympathize, but we still stand as the team that still got the worst job from that crew this season and they have a list of bad calls as long as the MS River and just as crooked.

*Thanks for the hottie pic! 5 out of 5 stars

Memphis State scored on an unbelievable play. But why didn’t y’all blow them out by 50? WTF? If you’ve watched Ole Miss play them you learn never to let them hang around. They have had so many breaks over the years by refs it’s unreal. Especially when they bring their crooked refs to your stadium. This is morning new.

Assume it’s built in positioning for camera every stadium has, and it’s better to obscure the “visiting” fans than home crowd. But electronics are there. We could set up a grid of the field and have the ball GPS tracked. Make it where the only time that’s needed is a position challenge, trying to find where the ball was when he went down, or scoring plays.

Because ESPN is a bunch of donkey dicks who let budgetary concerns determine the production quality of the events they telecast. It is why 20% of the viewable screen during their college football telecast's is a Disney ad.

To be fair, they overturned that one too.

The 4th and 27 was short. I was in the minority thinking, “It’s short. We have three time outs. Stop them and we have a chance.”
