It's been a tough year for the defending National Champions. The LSU Tigers entered the 2020 season with high expectations about a potential back to back playoff appearance, but after a 37 point loss to Auburn, the Bayou Bengals find themselves hoping to just make it to a decent bowl. LSU's fortunes take another turn for the worse when they are put on trial by past National Championship teams where they must answer for their poor performance.

How did 2011 Alabama get roasted? Do you recall what happened in 2012?

Every LSU fan swore Esminger would continue what Joe Brady started.

Folks like me said it was Tuberille 2003, Gene Chizik 2011 all over again.

LSU...definitely the worst defending national champion of all time! Another case closed -- Perry Mason

It should've been 2009 Bama, but come on man, this aint about us.

Well, almost. Alabama didn't (because we were the only team up there that followed up their title with another title).

That said, 2008 Florida didn't go into 2009 sucking.

The last jab at Texas though was awesome.

Many LSU fans are emotional and reactionary, case in point, all the threads calling for Finley to be the starter for the remaining season over Brennan.

I dont think anyone expected us to achieve the level of suck that we have but any reasonable person expected 3 or 4 losses with a NY6 bowl being considered a great season.

We lost the entire team pretty much and the starters that we did return were pretty average and not at the crucial positions. We're also switching to a 4-3 without the personnel to do it during a shortened offseason. Also, much of the team had Covid during what offseason we did have so we had a lot of players miss a lot of time.

Anyone who had "high expectations" of this team going back to the playoff was delusional.

Honestly, that was the best defense LSU has managed all season.

I thought the same thing. How are they so well tuned to the average LSU fan without coming here? At least one probably more must read this board.

Outside of Saturday, the offense hasn't been an issue...

The offense hasn’t really been the problem. Especially with our starting QB injured.

I think most of us expected pelini would be slightly better than utter dogshit.

That girl consistently looks sweeter than Clemson's 2019 schedule
