Hilarious. Probably the funniest one I've seen yet.

I'm curious to see what we try to do on offense.

Our quick game has been unstoppable.
We are trying to be a more diverse offense, and not faring so well thus far.

If someone shuts down the quick game, do we have a counter move?

If it is about rolling up points, we screen, sweep, rpo, and counter all game against Auburn.

If it is trying to pose a better team against Bama, Tennessee, Miss St, and Kentucky, then we may continue to try a passing mid range attack without the playaction to set it up and zone runs. Stetson hit a bunch of hands for drops. But we have been much more contested (even in man coverage which wasn't the case last season)

UGA doesn’t need to try be something it’s not. UGA needs to go back to power running with a short passing game to keep the other team honest. Bowers is a weapon but he is best used when a team sells out to stop the run. McConkey is a good possession receiver (WR3) but UGA hasn’t recruited the true WR1 or WR2 guys to allow him to play within himself.

Kirby is trying too hard with the wrong pieces. Abandoning the running game and trying have Bennett play in a modernist O is a mistake. 5 games in and no RB has established themselves (none are averaging 10 carries a game), is an issue. Only 1 WR is in double digit receptions (McConkey 20 is averaging 4 receptions a game). Honestly if y’all didn’t have Bowers you would have an offense at all.

meh.

Our best RB has been hobbled with thigh injury the last 2 weeks
Our best WR has been out for 3 weeks
Our 2nd best WR has had an ankle issue in addition to now having a case of the dropsies for some reason

Our offense didn't just forget what to do between the Oregaon/SC slaughters and the last 2 weeks' crapfests. Unfortuantely there's no telling when those items above will correct themselves. We should be fine now through Jacksonville so hopefully by then we're back towards full strength.

If you take away all of Bowers yards, we average 436 yards per game of offense. Which would be middle of the road in the SEC, instead of Top 3. He’s a big portion of our offense for sure.

3. problems I see.
1. Offensive line isn't getting position and leverage against quick pass rushes.
2. WR are lacking separation and dropping some.
3. Losing turnover margin.

Not the end of the world, plenty of upside.

We are trying not to be one dimensional.
One dimensional would be Tennessee.
You are great at what you are great at.
But what happens if that gets taken away?

We were mostly a zone blocking scheme under Pittman. We've been 50/50 since. I'm not sure you know what your point is.

Bowers is a weapon as a blocker.
He is a weapon as a decoy (Oregon had 2 to 3 guys on him almost at all times).
He is a weapon on playaction (to your point about the run game).
He is a weapon in a spread offense (he may be the best high point weapon in the country).
quote:

stop the run. McConkey is a good possession receiver (WR3)

Last season, no one was able to stop McConkey in man coverage. That doesn't mean a shut down corner can't. We just didn't face one last year. I disagree about possession receiver. He took the top off a lot last year.
Last week, he was 0-4 on contested throws. And when he stacks a defender, the ball is still slipping through his hands. He is in a sophomore slump. And that hurts without an X receiver on the team.

Monken runs the offense. You are 3 years behind on this one.

Abandoning the running game and trying have Bennett play in a modernist O is a mistake.

Maybe. Maybe not. We were awful at running counter in 2020. We were bad at counter the beginning of 2021. Now (and during our title run), it is our best run scheme. I'm at the point where I know what we are great at. And trust the coaches that they are trying to find more ways to beat more opponents.
quote:

5 games in and no RB has established themselves (none are averaging 10 carries a game), is an issue.

Milton is a very good zone runner.
Edwards is a very good(maybe great) power/counter runner.
McIntosh is a blend of both but a huge weapon on sweeps, screens, wheels, and arrow routes. Some of our focus the past 2 weeks may have been trying to keep him healthy.
quote:

Only 1 WR is in double digit receptions (McConkey 20 is averaging 4 receptions a game). Honestly if y’all didn’t have Bowers you would have an offense at all.

You don't seem to understand 1) spreading the ball around and 2) garbage time the first 3 weeks.

If you want to look forward, I expect more targets to Dom Blaylock, Darnell Washington, and Kearis Jackson. There were plays in the second half where Stetson threw to Darnell inside tight zone coverage with Ladd about 6 yards downfield with no one on screen.

Are Georgia fans seriously so autistic that they turn an SEC shorts thread into wall of text analysis of their overrated team?
