There was a span where Bama was ranked every other year when they played. LSU was beating Bama in Death Valley, but Bama wasn't ranked.
The context of the OP was Ranked Bama teams.

So in terms of percentage it would be 1.5/22 instead of 1/21

Yeah. That was the final year of the DuBose era and the Shula years:
2000: Alabama finished 3-8
2004: Alabama finished 6-6
2006: Alabama finished 6-7
The one time LSU defeated a ranked Alabama team in Tiger Stadium was 2010.
