SEC Regional Hosts

So after this weekends games, which SEC teams are hosting regional spots or still have a chance to host a regional?

We've got to sweep Vandy and win the tournament to be able to host.

I think 17 SEC wins keeps us in the conversation. Pull against UGA and ARK next weekend.

LSU, USC, FLA, KY and that is all unless Mississippi sweeps vandy. Arky is done after losing the series to Auburn

Honest question. Is Ole Miss even a lock to make the postseason (if they get swept)? That'd be only 14 wins and an RPI around 30?

yeah Ole Miss should prety much be a lock. The series win over Florida is a nice help. Plus making the SEC tourny is usually a good indication of whether or not you'll make the postseason

Yeah i know that we are a long shot to host. I was wondering more about where UGA and Arkansas stood after this weekend. I knew Arkansas was hurting after this weekend.

I think sweeping next weekend and making the semis in the SECt would give us a decent chance at hosting.
How often do they have 2 seeds hosting? Only reason I say this is if we are the top or one of the top 2 seeds and host a lower 1 seeds with a small stadium.

yes- a 14 win SEC team has only been left out once

We are not sweeping, I don't even think we in the series. I'd be very happy with taking 2 against a good Vandy team at home. We haven't won a road series yet

they're improved but they're still not great. they took it to us and i give them credit. they must have had 15 steals after ross appendix burst but i mean hey you gotta deal with injuries. unfortunately for us we dont have a catcher who can throw runners out not named ross. and we were still 3 outs away from winning the series but props to vandy for coming back in the 9th.

The latest RPI I see has OM at about a 20. Even if you sweep a team in the high 30s I don't see how that gets you a host. You would almost have to win the SEC tourney I would think.

i think lsu's national seed is in big jeopardy because they're going to struggle next week against USC without ross. Every single might as well be a double.

Saw the same.
Doubt we have to win the tourny but we'll have to go deep(twss) and take down a few big teams.
Problem is we have a losing record on the road.
