This data-set only goes back to 2005 for now (I've got to fix some things ).

But here's a look at SEC RBs who have the most 175+ yard performances in an SEC game (2005-present) and how many times they have done it.

175+ yard games in SEC play

8 Darren McFadden (RB-Arkansas)
5 Derrick Henry (RB-Alabama)
4 Cam Newton (QB-Auburn)
4 Marcus Lattimore (RB-South Carolina)
3 Derrius Guice (RB-LSU)
3 Leonard Fournette (RB-LSU)
3 Nick Fitzgerald (QB-Mississippi St)
3 Trent Richardson (RB-Alabama)
3 Anthony Dixon (RB-Mississippi St)
3 Kenny Irons (RB-Auburn)

175+ yard games overall

9 Darren McFadden (RB-Arkansas)
6 Leonard Fournette (RB-LSU)
5 Marcus Lattimore (RB-South Carolina)
5 Derrick Henry (RB-Alabama)
4 5 tied

-Darren McFadden was an absolute freak. Imagine if he had anybody else besides Casey Dick lining up under cent... err... lining up along the sideline, 3 yards onto the field of play.

-Idk if my Arkansas friends can help me verify this number, but I have McFadden down for 66 snaps taken from shotgun during his time at Arkansas. Does this seem right to you guys?

*EDIT* Per request, here are the average rankings for total defense that each player posted their 175+ yard game against (SEC only). I also did average run defense as well.

Average opponent total defense & run defense

**sorted by toughest to weakest total defense

Kenny Irons: 18, 31
Marcus Lattimore: 27, 40
Darren McFadden: 34, 57
Cam Newton: 35, 53
Derrick Henry: 42, 60
Trent Richardson: 60, 82
Leonard Fournette: 63, 75
Anthony Dixon: 71, 88
Nick Fitzgerald: 89, 97
Derrius Guice: 91, 99

66 snaps from center sounds about right, wasn’t that Nutt running his Wild Hog with him and Felix Jones?

Tre does check-in with 7 150+ yard games overall. Which would be the 4th most behind McFadden (12), Fournette (10), and Chubb (8).

Yes. The Wildcat became the big thing for a few years based off of McFadden running it for us.

Nice, and if Dyer didnt smoke so much he’d probably have another.

Thanks for looking this up

Also thought Trent would have more honestly

Now you're asking me to do actual work outside of my pivot tables

I'll see what I can do though.

Really gives you an idea of how great McFadden was.

Same, but he also split carries with Ingram and Lacy. Could be a factor, could not matter at all. Would have to look up the games he came close and how many carries other RBs got those games. Not worth the time

3 Derrius Guice (RB-LSU)

This stat is a little misleading.

Guice is the only RB in SEC history to rush for 250+ yds in 3 games.

Sure, Fournette's 12 carries 270+ yds on Ole Miss is more impressive, but Guice does have that record all to himself.

That's what I thought. For some reason it felt like he took so many more snaps out of wildcat than just 66 in his career. It felt like 66 per game.
