SEC Presidential searches - Football impact

Most people dont realize how much presidents impact football, but if you don't, ask Gene Stallings and other coaches who encountered presidents that weren't on board with football.
So far we have Auburn and Ole Miss. Auburn looks to be latching back on to longtime Auburn good ole baw Dr. Gogue. What's going on with OM's search? The OM president will also be replacing an AD, which is also interesting.
Both university's IMO have tons of potential to have top 10 football programs

Alabama should have hired Bobby Bowden in 1986. The president’s sideshow interview was the hiccup.

Dr Gogue is not s good ole boy. AU made great strides while he was there and should have never been asked to leave.

No doubt. Probably should have just said alumnus but he's more AU's type. Why did they ask him to leave? Wasn't AU in the middle of a huge fundraising effort?

Honestly, most of the SEC does except maybe Vandy and UK. All it takes is the right staff.

We have one going on that, unfortunately, a very small handful of far left wing third wave feminazies are trying to influence into their favor.
If we're not careful it is going to turn into a major shite show.
The problem is that they have a few soy boy cucks encouraging them.
If they continue to influence our BoTs in any way, there will be a major purge in the BoTs seats, and rightfully so, by our governor.
shite is about to hit the fan it would appear.
This is going to be one that every fellow SEC program should watch. It's a political battle being orchestrated by the outgoing socialist communist that was encouraged to resign after trying to drag us over to the left.

Finished the campaign and was the reason why the University moved up to a tier 1 level research school. Harbert was the reason for change, now he has egg on his face.

He is a pretty damn good ole boy from a guy I know whose sister was a major player player at that school under his leadership. At least she thinks so and she is solid a rock and a damn good ole gal as well! So that is a good move for AU. I don't want to out her since you would instantly now who she is being an AU fan.

What's Harbert's deal? Wasn't he behind that god forsaken Malzhan extension?
Leath never seemed like a fit with AU. A close church member of mine is an AU alum and felt somewhat sour about Leath from day 1.

A lot of people had issues with his time at Iowa St.

Harbert is big on academics (a good thing) and he has donated a lot of money, so he has power. The whole Leath thing was his decision and now he looks bad because of it.

Went to HS with him. I'll just leave it at that.

Mississippi has a governor who is A southern miss graduate and has a strong disdain for Ole Miss and during his tenure has stacked the board that hires the presidents so that they will give Ole Miss crap just like they did with the last president who was absolutely horrible.

Probably can be said about a lot of Trustees. Many are powerful people who donate a lot of money. I doubt that most of them got that way by being nice people. Of course, I'm from Alabama, so I've heard the rumors about yours too, but I'm sure every school has some difficult ones.
