Gotta give some consideration to the #1 player on LSU’s Mount Rushmore ...

Joe Burrow

Who you got?

If 2010 is included, then *grits teeth* Cam. If not, then Derrick Henry, Tua, or Burrow. I'm probably forgetting a bunch of great ones.

Cam

He took an 8-5 and high school offense to NC game and added a Heisman on top of it.

"Player of the decade" literally had one (1) good year.

Cam? Burrow? Henry? Three of the four Heisman trophy winners from this conference this decade only had one great year.

Is it just some individual arbitrary qualifications by poster or...what?

Single season/career etc.

Need to know if I’m saying Cam or McChest

One had more yards, TDs, and percentages better than all!

I just wanna say in 2015 Henry faced 11 top 41 defenses and 12 top 60 defenses and put up over 2200 yards rushing and 28TDs. He was a beast

Also, Cam by far was the best IMO. He took a team that would have been 6-6/7-5 and won a NC. LSU without Burrow is still a 9-3 team IMO.

He also scored a TD in every game* as a junior.

Bama without Henry is still a 9-3 team IMO. See how this works?

For all the LSU fans sake I hope this season isn’t just Burrow putting LSU on his back. The melt is going to be historic if LSU sucks in 21 and 22 after Orgeron gets a fat raise that basically makes lsu his last coaching gig.

I don’t think this is the case fwiw. I think he’s got a very good staff and learned from some past mistakes and is a perfect fit for LSU right now. But if burrow leaves and LSU implodes the melt would get nuclear.

It would have to be Cam. His impact on the AU program was unequaled. If it had not been for him AU would have been an 8-5 team that year, would have lost to Bama, AU would be on a 60 plus year NC drought amid the greatest run in college football history by their hated rival. Maybe no player in college football history did more for a school than Cam did for AU.

The others are good entries, though.

Ehhh.

Probably not. I don't see a whole lot of delusion. Most LSU fans understand that this offense goes because of Burrow and Brady. Most are actually very concerned about the future of the defense because they've gotten worse, statistically, every year under Aranda. Everybody expects a major drop off with Burrow gone and if Brady leaves, everybody expects the offense to return where was the past 11 years.

People would definitely melt if Brady left but no one would melt if the offense, as expected, takes a step back with Burrow gone.

I think Dak should be considered as well. I mean he was pretty much the sole reason MSU was ranked #1 for 5 weeks which is no small feat.

Though I don’t think he was the best. Probably would have been had he played for a school like LSU or Alabama.

I’d give it Burrow the guy is impressive. Cam at 2nd Dak at 3rd

Derrick Henry broke records held by Herschel, Tebow & Bo Jackson in the same season. And after all that crap talked about him he's backed it up in the NFL as well chief.
