SEC on CBS deal ends in 2023 - Where do you want the SEC to go?

Keep in mind the following
- Streaming services have been gearing up to trying and get into the big money of professional/college sports. They got a foothold in baseball and Amazon Prime/Twitter have moved in a bit with the NFL. There is definitely going to be a push from Amazon, Facebook, Apple, etc in the next few years for live rights to games and leagues.
- The SEC is the only league with a non-league run station that is devoted purely to them outside of Notre Dame. FOX does the B12/P12/B1G. ESPN/ABC does everybody. CBS only does the SEC, and the 330 CBS timeslot is known as the "SEC Game of the Week" every week. No other league really has that.
So with all that said, what do you want the SEC to do when the CBS deal runs out?

I hope I never have to hear that dude say "J. K. Allllll. Day." ever again

Take the most money. SEC has given CBS a discount for too long.

I would say that since the SECN is a part of the ESPN platform, then ESPN would be best. The drawback there is they could leverage people into paying for ESPN+.

Kick Danielson to the curb and stick with CBS. Fox is the WOAT.

I’ll take the devil we know tbh

If they got Blackledge to replace Danielson and keep Nessler I would say keep CBS

The thing with CBS is from what I've read the odds of them putting a competitive bid on the table are slim to none.

I want ESPN/ABC to get all things SEC. Way better product, more options, etc.
eta: Plus it would assure more big games in a primetime slot.

FOX is by far the worst. On a selfish note, the FOX affiliate here in Baton Rouge has a shitty arse feed.

Is CBS really going to drop college football altogether? That's a bad idea.

I still want CBS for big game each week, they have the best quality broadcasts. Most professional of the broadcasts.

Back to CBS.

Would prefer CBS as it’s great to not have to share a network and they’ve done a nice job over the years but it seems like most don’t think it’s likely.

It's probably not going to be CBS again no matter who wants what.
Definitely not NBC although they'll probably try.
Fox .... maybe. Maybe. They know how to do baseball but they've got work to do for football and basketball but here's the thing. They've got more regional outlets than anyone and their main network frequency covers just as much airspace as as any of the other three plus they are innovative.
I don't see how it could be ABC unless they dumped the ACC or either moved them to ESPN2 with the other smaller conferences. Even then there would be jockeying for prime spots between us (the SEC) and the B1G.
Could get complicated.

I would say stay with CBS but make them pay more for the product. What league gives would give them better games? There is none.

I wouldn't mind NBC if they did it right and copied their Sunday Night Football production.
Sunday Night Football is the best football broadcast out there.

To be honest, the Mouse hasn't been that great at covering college football for a while. All of their great announcers (Keith Jackson, Brent Musburger, Brad Nessler, Mike Tirico) are long gone.
