Local sports talk show say this foreshadows a 9 game SEC schedule in 4-5 years. Do you agree? Would be a yes for me.

Local sports talk show doesn't know what they're talking about
This happens every few years
ETA: quick google search says 2008, 2012, 2014

Whatever let’s VOLS play more West teams. We have two interesting games per year in the East, the rest I CBA to care about.

Saban wants 9 conference games and so it will be so.

Brent Beard said this. He was the guy in Jacksonville that said the NCAA was going to make a targeting rule that would eject players back in 2009.

The SEC isn't moving to anything. It's a quirk of the calendar that there's an extra Saturday during the season every few years. Instead of starting the season a week later, they take an extra bye.
Your local sports talk show people are stupid.

It's a calendar thing, not a conference thing. Every few years the two bye weeks thing happens.

Nah man this happened a couple years ago. It has to with how the calendar falls out not that the SEC is making a move to go to a 9 game schedule.

Well he doesn't know what he is talking about when it comes to this.

There are 14 Saturdays between the Sat. before Labor day and the Saturday after Thanksgiving next year, ergo 2 byes.
Most years there are only 13, i.e this year so 1 bye...

This. The college football calendar, for every team in the country, is just one week longer next year.

Oh sweet. I'm sure LSU would get Georgia as their other cross divisional, Auburn would get Florida, and bama gets either Mizzou or Vanderbilt.

Saban has actually pushed for an extra conference game for years.
He has said many times that there should be two rotating cross division games instead of one because the way it is now a player can be on the team for 5 years and never get the opportunity to play against every team in the conference
I agree with it

Mizzou has been better than Florida so...
And who is beating Bama exactly from either side of the conference? By all means match them up with the Chiefs instead of us.

Lookie here Boudreaux...we run this shite and you will just STFU and play who we tell you to play, when we tell you to play it, where we tell you to play. Comprende?
Or you can take your perpetually blubbering and paranoid fans and GTFO to the BigXII and good riddance.

Disagree. A&M hasn't beaten a power 5 school after a bye since 2007.
