That wouldn’t shock me but LSU-Bama drew the most viewers for a regular season game since 2016. I think Disney is going to make the game happen.

I’d guess we get Bama, Ole Miss and Aggie. I agree, I will miss the Auburn series but it should be reconfigured where we see them every 2 years.

I have a feeling we are gonna get stuck with the Texas Schools.

Like Aggy, Texas, and Ole Miss or something.

I would think they would do everything they can to keep LSU/Bama.

No way UK isn't on that list. And I don't see them playing Texas A&M twice.

I would bet against it honestly. It'll be Auburn, Tennessee, Miss State imo

I think it will be Florida, Auburn, and South Carolina for sure for UGA.

I wonder who will get screwed with three tough permanent games? If the SEC tries to bring back UF-AU, then Auburn could have Alabama, Georgia, and Florida, and Florida could have Georgia, Tennessee, and Auburn.

If they try to keep Auburn-LSU, then Auburn would have UA, UGA, and LSU, and LSU could have Alabama, Florida, and Auburn.

I guess Ole Miss may be more likely for LSU than Florida, so who knows? And I forgot about A&M and the other schools coming in from the Big 12 in the next few years as well that they give LSU.

This is too complicated, I’d have to make a spreadsheet to make sense of this, and I can’t be bothered with that.

frick making Texas a permanent, that would suck. I’d guess they get Arkansas Aggie and OU.

No doubt.

I can't belive we won't be playing Florida every year. I know its every two years but it won't be the same.

it dpends on if the league gives the slightest frick about history or not. They've already pissed on numerous facets of SEC hsitory so I guess it wouldn' tbe a shock if they continue doing so, but bama/MSU has tons of history and are less than an hour apart. LSu/Bama is no different than UF/UT in that it's had about a decadeish if being THE #1 premiere elite rivalry but it's not a longstanding permanent thing.

Prior to 2011 bama/lsu was great but it wasn't THE "it" game like it grew into. And now we are obviously on the backswing of that pendulum.

I doubt lsu/bama stays.

Hasn’t LSU played BAMA the 2nd most out of anyone in their history? I think Miss State is #1 on their all time played list.

“A single division,” meaning there is no division in the conference. Why not say, “no division”?

It's like when announcers say "a defensive possession"

Huh?

After the ratings from a couple weeks ago I’m sure the Mouse will make sure LSU and Bama are permanents.

If this had happened in the 90s I could see how LSU might not have been considered for one of those three, but now I cannot imagine LSU NOT being one of the three. Feel sacrilegious to not have a season playing LSU, while our grandfathers would have probably just shrugged at it.

It will be a little weird to not play Mississippi State considering no two schools are as close to each other, but these days that's just not that big a consideration (if it were, A&M and Missouri definitely would not be part of the conference).

would there be a conference title game? if so, why?

because it wouldnt be a "everyone plays everyone" scenario so the schedules wouldnt be even.

Isn't this just the pod system, without the pods?

3 permanent rivals is 4 teams in a pod. Rotating everyone else.

Not really. Pod would have all 4 teams playing each other

107 times vs Mississippi State
105 times vs Tennessee
87 times vs LSU
86 times vs Auburn

Crazy that LSU is only 1 ahead of Auburn, considering the Iron Bowl wasn't even played for 41 years (1907-1948).

All over $38.
