Bad luck on one shot, but the kid didn't have to fall apart the rest of the hole. Classic Ole Miss choke job.

You didn't read the article jackass. Hitting the bird cost him a one-stroke penalty. He ended up with a 9 on a par 5. That's a quad bogey. Only one stroke attributable to bad luck.

Sucks for the kid and the team, but he had already hit 1 OB and then re-pegged. A shot that hits a bird and drops OB is probably going out already. I hate that it points a blaring neon sign at 1 hole for 1 player, when there are a lot of team holes that count.
