I am no fan of Alabama and we all know that Nick cheats, but I don't really see a problem here. It's innovative, it's a sound use of technology and there is nothing stopping other schools from doing the same thing. This should be allowed.

Dale and Ray at tackles. McMillion and Moses at linebacker. But the real problem was Nick Saban had zero depth at those spots ready to play so he had to slide freshmen in there. One converted DB to LB replaced the vet play caller so we were an abortion. That's on Saban.

This is being disingenuous.

Harris played defensive back in high school but Alabama recruited him to be a linebacker.

Wasnt like they pulled a defensive back out and stuck him at linebacker.

Dude is listed at 6'2, 244 lbs.

McMillion was indispensable since he was a 5th year senior who lined up the players and called the defense. And Nick Saban's team got caught with their britches down since they had no one to replace him. The idiots calling for the DC's head are asking for the wrong head if you're gonna fire someone for the linebackers and the tackles being freshmen. Saban didn't have replacements, period and that won't work at this level.

Dale too was a freshman but he didn't start the game since he was hurt earlier and may have been sent in to give someone a blow. We were one deep and that was with Dale a freshman starting then we lost our tackles and linebackers and were no longer a championship contender. LSU had more depth and good inury luck comparatively so they deserved to win and they did. Hats off. The ball ain't round and we were not a championship team.

DJ Dale started vs. LSU.

He was one of four freshman to start on defense (contrary to the popular 7 true freshman starters myth).

"Matt Self, Alabama's senior associate athletics director for compliance, said in a statement: "The SEC is aware that Alabama provided Apple Watches to some of our
student-athletes. We are in constant communication with the SEC discussing the appropriate manner in which to utilize these and any other resources to provide for the health and well-being of our student-athletes during this crisis."

You coonasses are beside yourselves (nearly TEN pages) over something that's SEC approved!

I'm sorry you're late to the party but a majority of this thread hasnt even been about the watches.

No shite, the SEC is aware, did you miss this part though?

The SEC is exploring whether Alabama will be able to continue using Apple watches to monitor its football players' physical activities during the league-mandated shutdown caused by the coronavirus pandemic, sources told ESPN on Friday.

The SEC was made aware of the devices up front. None of his happens in a vacuum. It is a high tech part of the monitoring of the athlete's response to training. SIMILAR TO THE MONITORING DEVICES LSU WAS ALL ABLAZE ABOUT LAST YEAR AND WAS WRITTEN ABOUT IN THE WALL STREET JOURNAL. Good news for Bama is they are now in the high tech business as well with the new S and C hires. Reduction of the season killing injuries and these new quality training aids are why the change was made in staff.

True. But they're looking into whether Alabama can continue to use them. Can none of you Bammers read?

I believe it has more to do with the communication/benefit aspects.
