Which stadiums have never had it?

I know Tiger Stadium hasn't. Which others?

Seems like most have at some point, as I can recall.

Jordan-Hare has never had artificial turf. We are an AG school, that would be an abomination.

Davis Wade never has and never will for the same reasons as LSU and Auburn.

UGA
LSU
State
Auburn

Don't believe those schools have ever had artificial turf. Think everyone else has at some point

I'm pretty sure Florida did at one point.

Neyland put in turf early 60s then switched to grass in the early 90s..cause it caused injuries. Then it had great grass, and lately it has tanked...so now it's being blamed for injuries. Maybe we can be the first to have a sand field to play on.

UGA built their's E-W so that the GRASS would never be blocked from the Sun. The barn's is SW-NE.

Sanford is aligned the way it is because that's the way the creek/ravine under the field runs. That's why the stadium sits so low.

I think they finally fired the idiot turf guy that took over a few years ago. The grass was not as bad last year imo

Irrigation for the entire length of the field.

Just wanted to say, in a sea of terrible offseason trolls and unintelligent drivel, this is a good thread.

Thanks.

I don't post here much, but nobody answered me when I posted this question in a thread on the Rant.

I think seybold is still the guy. hart (disliked him) finally heard the noise, and made seybold get over his stubborness, stop making excuses, and reach out to the experts UT has so readily available. Hope so at least....

Auburn researches and markets their own turf, so you will never see it in JHS. Artificial turf in the South is a Wal-mart solution to having your own grounds crew. You see HS in the South going to AT, mainly for cost savings.

I don't think we got turf until 1984. It was a terrible field. Dumped it for grass in about 1995. Reinstalled turf again later

Hard to grow grass in Faurot
