Taking into consideration a cross-section of the entire Fanbase (boosters, alums, sidewalks)….who’s fanbase has the highest percentage of their wardrobe comprised of team gear?

I'd throw in Kentucky as a dark horse contender for this title. Basketball school + nike outfitting them.

Either way, definitely a nike school. They dwarf Under Armour and Adidas in putting out apparel for sale each year for their respective schools and it's not even close.

Probably can loosely track this by looking up the school's merchandising $'s

Thought of bama in the thread title immediately before clicking and during the reading of your statement. They win a lot so it shouldn't be a surprise to anyone if this is truly the case

Sidewalks - Bama and it's not even close
Alums - Auburn. Just because I'm surrounded by them. Miss State grads wear a lot of gear as well
Boosters - i don't know how you determine that

*Edited to add Miss State in the alums part

Ag jealous because no one wants to be seen in ag gear...
Notre Dame, Bama, Oklahoma have to be the largest in regards to sidewalk.

I just remember looking in my Dad's closet after he retired and moved to College Station. It was entirely maroon polos on top and khakis on the lower rack. I think he had a gray suit for funerals and weddings but it was lost in the fray.

Yea. It’s Bama and not close. No competition. There are large numbers of high school and college dropouts who really live vicariously through the Alabama football team.

I had one such younger individual give me a “row tiide” from the opposite side of the gas pump in Columbus, MS the week before the Bama game one time… when my state polo was undoubtedly noticed.

I gave it a friendly laugh to set him up. Then said I was heading to the game next weekend and asked if he knew the best way to Tuscaloosa from Columbus.

He did not. This guy could not tell me how to get to Tuscaloosa Alabama….. from Columbus, Mississippi.

He also didn’t catch the game was in Starkville that weekend so it didn’t matter.

I was actually thinking of school colors that are more standard. Like Florida or Kentucky’s blue is of the sort that you could get away with wearing school gear 3 or 4 days a week and not draw attention. I really like Texas’ shade of orange but it’s such a distinct color you wear it once or twice a week tops. And say what you want about The Vols orange, it’s uniquely theirs./
