Missouri would be removed before Kansas is added. Not a chance in hell that happens.

I think they should grab Wisconsin and Minnesota and take over the north

As a part time Wisconsin fan I don't want them in the SEC.

NC State is #1 on my list. Raleigh would be a great away destination for the fans of visiting teams. Plus I'm only 160 miles away.

A lot of people put north Carolina in there top 5 there is no way north Carolina goes anywhere without Duke!!! the basketball rivalry is far too prestigious between them for 1 to bolt without the other.

Money drives the bus. Basketball would be overlooked as soon as the SEC brought out its checkbook.

if SEC says it is the best conference,
why would you want programs like UNC and UVA and Kansas.
doesn't that hurt the image of the conference.

Yes. But adding Clemson would hurt the conference's image way more.

Realistically, the ACC is very difficult to tap into. While many of those schools would be a good fit in the SEC, our best chance at acquisition of an ACC school is NC State. Big time TV market, decent academics, and a good enough cultural fit. What hurts it is it's a basketball school rather than a football school, which is traditionally the opposite of SEC programs except for Kentucky.
Virginia Tech is the only other ACC school in contention. None of the others are realistic fits. Clemson fiddled with the idea in 2011 and will not revisit it.
Then you have an already weak Big 12. West Virginia would be a decent fit, but its sparse population and mediocre academics hurt its chances. Geography is also an issue; Morgantown is farther north than Columbia, Missouri.
SEC plus Texas is an awful idea. Looks good on paper, but no thanks. Neither side wants to mix in with the other.
Kansas? Nope.
I wouldn't rule out Oklahoma.
My guess: NC State/VA Tech (choose one) and Oklahoma.

Nobody outside the state of Kansas cares about KU.
Except Mizzou.
