What are y’all’s predictions for the finishing order in the east? Seems like outside of Kentucky and Missouri each team is solid and has a chance to make noise in the postseason

Georgia fans are already making excuses, so that must mean they're towards the bottom?

Rumor is Our coach has been informed that they win this year or he gone.

Boosters willing to $$ for a big named replacement. I’ll believe it when I see it, but that’s the word.

I wonder if there are any Mizzou alumni that might be interested?

We've had a lot of roster turnover. Hoping we have a surprise season and coalesce but I doubt it. I expect to battle Mizzou for the basement this year.

First game is Friday at Elon.

This will probably be the last year anyone gets to say that as, much like football and basketball, divisions are likely to go away in baseball. With a 10 series schedule, we will probably each have five permanent opponents, and the other 10 rotating.

We are a wild card. We have 3 starting arms who are upperclassmen and should be dominating in their third years as SEC starters but no way to predict if they will. Lot of optimism internally that this will be our best performing offense under Stricklin but tough to tell if that’s just happy talk. We do return 4-5 good, experienced bats but we’re also replacing our middle infield with transfers. We don’t have a proven closer and our relief game was hit and miss last year and is being supplemented with about 4 more transfer arms. Just a lot of unknowns playing SEC ball for the first time.

If we can avoid getting decimated by injuries for a third straight year then I think we could make the tourney as a 3 seed but the back half of our schedule is capital B Brutal so I wouldn’t put money on it.

We are finally expanding Foley after this season so that’s really what I’m looking forward to. Unfortunately, we also tend to not fire coaches in the middle of major capital improvement projects so I don’t think Stricklin is going anywhere for at least another couple of years
