Not really sure how to split the north and east, without one being a cupcake and the other stacked somewhat, but just an idea anyhow.

SEC West Division
Lsu
Arky
Aggies
Mizz

SEC South Division
Bama
Auburn
Ole Miss
Miss St

SEC North Division
Vandy
Kentucky
Tennessee
Clemson

SEC East Division
Georgia
S. Carolina
Florida
Florida St

Play all in your division, plus two permanent division rivals. (keeps Bama/Tenn, Au/Ga, and any other traditional games intact.) Thats 5 conference games. The rotate 1 from each Division on a home and home. That gets to 8 conference games and every team plays every team within 8 years. Have a 2 game Conference Championship playoff. Division winners North vs South and East vs West and winners take all, or seed them if preferred. As with the CG, the SEC leads the way for the rest of the FB world to a playoff.

Probably alot of things would make all that improbable.

Gimme your divisions.

yeah, you only get one CCG (NCAA allows a single extra/exempt CCG game for conferences with at least 12 teams) so you can only have two divisions

Can always stay an extra night and take a short trip to see the SEChiefs play the next day.

Just add Mizzou and A&M to the west. fSU and Clemson to the east. Add a 9th conference game and you're done

If things go to a Superconference way of life, I can see the NCAA rules getting redrawn up. Not immediately, but it won't be long.

Is it basically a foregone conclusion that the conference will revert to a "pod" format?

I have this layout speculated before.

I'm working on getting things to a playoff. End up with 4, 16 team superconferences.... they use the same format, then, after a 2 game conference champ game for each, you'd have a 2 game playoff for the NC from those 4 conference champions.

The SEC East is stacked and the North is extremely mediocre. Would probably have to switch 1-2 teams from those two divisions.

Any thought that it would be 15 instead of 16? Have 3 five team divisions?
