Bro plays of 10+ yards is almost our Defensive Rushing Yards Per Attempt average.

Kentucky safeties did a pretty good job of shutting down those long plays against Alabama (even though they appeared to give it up underneath).

Lane don't care about defense, baw. He likes offense and college chicks. That's about it.

LSU not giving you those plays between 10-20 yards. However 20 and up is a different story...

Pretty sure I saw that LSU is on pace to have it's worst defensive season ever stat wise.

The difference between #1 Georgia and #13 Vanderbilt is 2.28. The difference between #13 Vanderbilt and #14 LSU is 1.76.
And they still have the 3 most explosive offenses in the SEC left to play (Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss).

I would love to know how many of those 10+ yard plays were against Alabama. That game was just a red flag warning that we need more speed in the secondary

Funny you say that because I was wondering the same thing. A&M has given up like 3 plays of 40+ yards all season - at least 2 of them were Alabama, and maybe all 3?

Bo Pelini blows. Obviously, LSU lost more players than any team in history with the exception of Marshall University, but to have the raw talent we do and to have players consistently out of position is inexcusable.
This is all on the coaching or lack thereof. Shameful...

Our secondary is pretty good. We were thin at LB even before this last week and had Jamin Davis, Torrance Davis, and D'Eryk Jackson all out. So I wasn't remotely surprised we gave up a ton in the middle and on some blown coverages.

And still has to play the #1 (Florida), #2 (Bama), #3 (Ole Miss) passing offenses in the conference.

More accurately, the new offenses (when efficiently executed) can't be stopped in the way the old school offenses could.
