As an Auburn fan growing up and LSU grad and now LSU fan... I've realized that LSU fans BY FAR have the biggest issue with both the Tiger/Eagle mascot ordeal. It's not even that big of a deal
Especially older LSU fans. They think it's the funniest joke when they explain how Auburn doesn't even know what's it's own mascot is!! Note to all future LSU fans who plan on making this joke... It's not funny and very very cringe. Please come up with someone funnier.

I don’t care much for baseball and most of the SEC seems to agree with me. The teams that can’t cut it in football seem to put a lot of importance on it but for a lot of people baseball is a thing to watch on a boring day when there isn’t football or basketball to entertain us. Football, basketball, tennis, even women’s sports, etc - bring it on. Baseball - way too slow and boring.
LOL. LSU has won three NC's in football since UGA won one in 1980. We can "cut it" in fball better than UGA can cut it and Tiger fans love baseball.

The eagle was a really nice touch, but my personal favorite was when they did a close up of the kicker’s face so when he looked up getting ready to kick he was looking himself in the eye

Since we are talking college guys here if i was wanting to distract the kicker a big set of funbags on the jumbotron would be way better than an eagle.

I was just talking about this sort of thing with a friend at the gym. I'm so sick of fricking needless rules and regulations where they clearly aren't wanted or needed. It feels like people make up shite just to put their thumb on things.

Seeing how it has to do with distracting opposing kickers, maybe Gumps want to sit this one out.
Wouldn't surprise me if this is something Saban suggested and forced through.
