He had a heavily senior laden team last year, lost like 3 guys to the NBA. He is good for a few more years if not longer. I doubt Vandy ever gets serious about replacing him unless he has multiple seasons like this one, he is one of the lowest paid coaches in the SEC (rumored) and has turned down several other jobs around the league and country to stay there over the years.

Stallings makes like 2.3 million per year. He is one of the highest paid SEC basketball coaches.

I don't agree with that... VU won't be much better next year. People here are saying the excitement level in Memorial is as at one of it's lowest points in years... there's even been some scattered booing.

Stallings needs to show improvement fairly quickly next season... another sh*t-show, and I could see him out after 2014.

Possibly.

However, Georgia, should fire Fox, Tennessee should fire Counzo, Carolina, Martin, etc.

Any coach who is trying to keep these games in sub 50 point shite fests need to go, they are destroying the game...

Did he get a raise?

Vandy's pay for coaches is private, last I heard he made less than Pel which should tell you how long that has been...

If we weren't doing so well at football, Kennedy would most definitely be on the hot seat.

Last time football, basketball and baseball were all terrible in the same year was 2003-2004.

Only one of those three kept his job, because it was his first year. I would have rather kept Melvin and Mark Johnson than Fran.

Your fringe element might get stupid if he has a bad season next season but to suggest the seat gets hot is borderline castyzilla territory.

Belle, you have been around long enough to know the score. This issue is not UK being down this year as much as both IU and UL have a shot at a NC this season. Job security at UK not only involves winning but beating your enemies.

I generally cringe at the fringe Cat fans that really are crazy (and not in a good way) but if they are also big donors they can fuel the insanity.

I just don't see it even after two bad seasons (and we're talking it'd have to be missing the NCAA Tournament bad for that to even be mentioned). Not that quickly. And not without the administration asking for Calipari to make some changes to his philosophy before he'd get the boot.

They're crazy, but they're not that crazy. They even put up with Billy Gillispie's shite for longer than that and we both know how bad that got off the court.

In 2010, Stallings made $2,056,109. He's gotten raises since then. Vandy's pay information is public record via IRS Form 990.

Only SEC jobs Shaka Smart looks at in SEC are UK and Florida. He wouldn't even take the Illinois job last year.

THIS

State called Shaka last Spring and his agent said he wouldnt even think about talking for less than 3MM/year- that eliminates him from almost every SEC job. No SEC school is going to pay their basketball coach what their football coach makes
