The LSU basketball fanbase is the only one I've ever seen (in any sport at any level, mind you) that will try to make an argument that they're a somehow better program than another because of a list of 5 good players that they had that never even played together. Like, LSU is good because Shaq and Pistol Pete played there 30 years apart from one another?

It's fricking stupid. Normal adults wouldn't expect to be taken seriously saying such things.

Two of those are unlike the other three. National championships matter. LoSerU's greatest player Shaq, and greatest coach Dale Brown couldn't beat Arkansas even once.

Wins, conference championships and tourney appearances matter too.

I weigh less on national titles for CBB than I do for football. Once you get into a single elimination, 64 team tournament it becomes a crapshoot and anyone can win and upset a top team on any given night. The tourney is what makes CBB great obviously - but isn’t the most accurate indicator of the best team.

True, UF definitely had the best team in 2014

How many titles and final fours does Tenn have?

Thought so.

Jimmies. Rustled.

I never argued Tennessee was a better program than Florida. We are a more consistent program but that doesn’t put them ahead of Florida.

SEC Champions last 10 years (tournament and regular season)

Kentucky - 11
Florida - 3
Auburn - 1
Ole Miss - 1
Vanderbilt - 1
Tennessee - 1
Texas A&M - 1

Funny, I don't see LSU anywhere on that list.

10 seasons ago was 2009-2010, including the current season. Learn to do math.

I understand that. I’m saying it wasn’t that far outside of your range and we had two awful coaches in a row
