So after the offensive explosion in the SEC this year with a true lack of good pitching conference wide, these first few games in the tournament have been...the opposite. 16 total runs scored through nearly 4 full games.

I absolutely guarantee you that they cracked down in bats harder for this tournament than they have been for the regular season

That combined with the big park leads to this

I’m worried though because low scoring games don’t generally benefit us

The problem with college baseball is you design and coach your team to play and win 3 game series all year and then when it actually counts, you're playing in double elimination tournament formats that have to be coached completely differently

Spot on. Super regionals are the only part of postseason that resemble the regular season. Even the final series is a departure from the regular season due to the impact of the earlier Omaha games on a pitching staff and rotation.

The line of storms that just went through Starkville headed to Tuscaloosa is dropping buckets of rain with a lot of lightning and some gusty wind.

Maybe Serraneaux has a point and they are giving pitcher's a bigger strike zone to shorten the games? Anyone been watching every pitch? I am working and only look up when I hear something happen.

Yep, that's what we dealt with in 2017 coming through the losers bracket. We had to start a guy in game 1 that hadn't even started a midweek game in awhile.

If you win out you can just pitch your Friday Saturday Sunday guys through the regional, but that doesn’t always happen

And that’s why we’ve sucked arse this year. Up 1-0 and you throw a strike to the best hitter in the conference. Christ.
