Just a perfect distillation of what killed us this year.

Bats were fine, pitching was a mess.

A terrible pitching staff rekted a team that could have made a deep run.

This reveals a big part of the DVH and Arkansas formula this year. Work the count, take walks and drive up the starters pitch count to get to the bullpen. Turn walks into runs with steals and home runs. Defense with a shutdown pitcher in Kopps taking over 2 out 3 games in the late innings.

That's literally the proposed formula of every team trying to be successful

Yep around the 5th-7th innings is where Arkansas starts teeing off on pitchers.

Wanting to do it and actually being able to do it are 2 different things. It’s why Kopps has double digit wins as a reliever.

Florida is a talented team. I would not be surprised to see them catch fire in postseason play.

Also, Auburn lost a ton of one run games. Never seen anything like it. I kept expecting to see it even out and it never happened. They could have been a pretty tough team if the breaks would have gone their way.

I think some teams have already peaked and didn't improve the rest of the season. While others have raw talent and see development as the year progresses.

It is why predictions in baseball are pointless.
