Im not sure why anyone does it in the middle of SEC play, especially with the new format where some teams play Thurs-Sat series

I will not be the least upset if we lose 1 or both of these games as long as we save our pitching staff for the weekend. I can see 4-6 pitchers being used each game.

We are about done with midweek games though so that is the bonus.
After these two the only one left is vs Kansas State at Kauffman a week from today.

I wouldn't care either. People think midweek games matter but they don't. Midweek games are meant to fill the schedule, possibly find a 3rd pitcher or mix up the lining to see what might work.

Our offense is good enough that it should carry us past Memphis so we don't have waste the good arms on them.

They absolutely matter, just not like weekend SEC games. Still counts toward overall resume/RPI.
