It's shocking that LSU's team era is so high. What happened to Lange and Poche?

Doesnt seem like anyone in the SEC wants to stand up. Nobody in national seed position right now.

Arkansas had a legit shot to distance themselves from the rest of the pack this past weekend. Not necessarily in record, but national perception. They folded like a cheap tent late in Saturdays game and then laid an egg on Sunday.

So, I agree. Even looking at RPI numbers...a cluster of teams from mid teens to #30. No top 10 RPI team in the league. Weird. There is usually a team or two in the top 5-10 of RPI all season in the league.

After watching Lange and Poche this weekend....Lange still has it, he just got himself in trouble with walks but managed his way out of it the first three innings. He got the K when he needed it, but still concerning he was putting himself in those positions.

I think Poche is just mental against Arkansas. He has never pitched well against the Hogs. He still has it and had a 1.15 ERA going into the Arkansas game. He will be fine. IMO

LSU bats have F'd Lange and Poche more than anything. Lately, its as if 1 run seals the deal on Friday. We haven't been able to hit SEC starters all that well.

Bama is on a record setting pace. Unfortunately it's the wrong kind of record. This could be the worst baseball team to ever take the field wearing Crimson.

Second losing season since 1994. The 1994 team was 21-35. And Jim Wells was hired that offseason.

We have 37 HRs. Hell, Rooker has 15 alone.

ETA - never mind. I see half way through you changed it to SEC only. RPI doesn't do that. Why would you?

Overall RPI is problematic. We might be looking at multiple three seeds from the league this year. And only a couple of hosts.

Well, it makes for interesting mid-late season baseball! If LSU can get the bats going and get our pitchers more runs,we should be OK.. A big "if" on the bats tho!
