Is MSU not a part of SEC baseball? 
You could say they are overrated - it'd be a presumptuous claim, but you could.
You could also make the case that MSU making it thus far shows the SEC is not overrated.

LSU had rust because they hadn't played in over a week...so LSU is just as good as North Carolina and NC State.

Who is acting "high and mighty"? We are who we thought we were. I don't recall any of us calling for a national title this year in the preseason -- but we thought we were BACK for the first time really since 1990. That quote of mine is literally all over this board -- and it was consistently shat on by every other fanbase on the rant.
The funny thing is we're doing this without our 3 best MLB arm talents -- at least 2 of which will be coming back next year -- and a roster that was literally all recruited while we were in the shitter, a fanbase that had become stagnant, and our former coach was sabotaging things behind the scenes. In the way baseball recruiting works, only our(really small) freshman class was recruited after we effectively turned the corner and made the Super Regional run at Florida...
